As of this patch or so they've buffed the Dark Harvest damage a not insignificant amount, even so is FF still a better rune setup?

Antiwis (2) | February 12, 2025 1:06am
Absolutely, Dark Harvest was buffed in 14.03: 20 (+9 per soul) ⇒ 30 (+11 per soul) (same ratio).

Leading up to patch 14.03, I also thought there would be a power shift between the two runes, but the numbers show that this hasn’t been the case. The buff isn’t enough, but it sets the stage for Dark Harvest to make a comeback in the coming weeks.

What are your thoughts on hubris? you ever use it? what do you build with it if you do?
2
Antiwis (2) | January 28, 2025 2:12pm
Currently, Jhin is played with a crit build, and Hubris can be a decent option in a lethality build. However, since that's not the current optimal way to play Jhin, I don't recommend the item at all!

Main issues :
Hubris is designed to be purchased early, but it doesn't provide crit, which is essential for Jhin to snowball. Additionally, it offers ability haste, which is completely useless for Jhin.

I see, I thought so aswell from my games using it, It's just that sometimes it feels like such a waste not to buy it when I know I'm gonna get fed xd

Hello there! That is an amazing guide. Just to questions: When/Against who do you make changes in the runes for a better gameplay and what about an early Ghostblade instead of Collector 1st? Would it be worth skipping Collector or would it suck?

Hi, first of all, thank you for your feedback, I really appreciate it!

Runes:
I rarely ever change runes; the only situation I might consider it is against heavy tanks. For more details, feel free to check my reply to @ Diablo97's comment.

Youmuu vs Collector:
Youmuu showed some promise on Jhin a few months ago, but the repeated nerfs—specifically targeting ADCs who used it, including Jhin—have hurt its viability. Additionally, the late Season 14 buff to Collector solidified its position as the better choice in almost every situation.

If this ever changes, I’ll be sure to keep you updated. :)

Hi! great guide, im having some success playing jhin, the main problem i find is when the team got 3 tanks or 2 hard tanks, any advice for dealing with them? dodging is one option, could try to pick other adc, but i try to let top or mid get the lowers picks for counter their lanes, and also im not great with other adc,for some reason im pretty decent-good with jhin and fail with others char, ty in advance.

Hi, thanks for your feedback !
First, your habit of first-picking is a very good thing, I do the same. Being an OTP Jhin is perfect for that:
- Little to no counter picks if you perma-ban Draven
- Jhin is heavily played, so it’s safe to secure him
- As an ADC, he naturally has few counters

About the issue with very tanky teams, it’s not that big of a problem. It’s true Jhin isn’t the best tank killer, but he’s better at it than your teammates might think. Remember, Jhin is an executioner, so a low-HP tank will melt under your hits.
A simple adjustment in this situation is swapping Coup de Grâce for Cut Down. Then, in-game, change your build order: swap Rapid Firecannon with Lord Dominik's Regards.
For team fights, it’s better to ignore tanks when they have more than like 60% HP and focus on other targets. Of course, I know that’s not always possible, so just do your best.

In conclusion, by slightly adapting your playstyle, build, and runes, you can play Jhin effectively against very tanky teams, even though it’s not the ideal situation.

Love the guide! Simple question: I've seen players start with Doran's Ring. Can you explain why and the difference compared to Doran's Blade, please?

Also, I've noticed some players take Sorcery as their secondary rune (like the streamer iKeepItTaco). Could you explain the reasoning behind this and how it compares to the setup you suggested?

Antiwis (2) | January 4, 2025 4:52pm
Thanks for the feedback, it's great!

As for the Doran's Ring, I gotta say I've never seen it on Jhin, so it's a bit of a mystery to me. If you could **shed some light** on why some players go for it, I'd be really curious to know more.

Now, for Sorcery as a secondary rune, it's pretty straightforward:
- When you pick Domination as your primary, Precision as a secondary is a must – it’s the most important for Jhin.
- But if you go with Precision as the primary, then Sorcery is the better secondary choice.

To sum it up:
- The secondary runes from Precision and Sorcery are **not as good** as Domination’s.
- Precision > Sorcery, so if you’re running Dark Harvest, you go with Precision as your secondary, and if you’re running Fleet Footwork, you go Sorcery as your secondary.

Hope this clears it up!

i dont like collector at all, i feel like its overpriced compared to its stats. What i want to ask is how does sound infinity edge-yuntal-rapidfire/ldr sound? could it work?
2
Antiwis (2) | August 22, 2024 10:00am
yes this build is not too bad, I tested yuntal quite a bit when it came out but I don't find it excellent.

Starting with ie is also a problem it's really not a good first item

this is not the most optimal build you can do, at the moment it is better to play statikk shiv, but you will still have big damage that's for sure

Antiwis (2) | August 22, 2024 10:00am
in any case be sure that I keep an eye on yuntal because it can at any time become a must have of jhin

Hi I'm happy you like the guide and thank you for your feedback !

Indeed, if you are a brand new player the build :
collector -> infinity edge -> rapid fire canon
is probably more effective, being easier to play and adapted to the pace of low-level games which consist of fighting constantly

Love the guide!

Just some questions that came up on my end that might be good adding to the guide;
- When or what matchups are best for DH Jhin, or when would you change anything inside the rune page based on who you're matched against?
- What are some other items that are good on Jhin based on if the team you're against?
- When would you ever change the order of items you build and if so why or in what situations?

Those are only a few of the questions I could think of but any extra advice you can think of is appreciated! Again, thanks for the guide!

Hi, glad you like the guide!
I will do an update soon to add information on DH / Fleet and item order.
For items depending on matchup, it depends more on the champions of the entire enemy team, not just the lane. You can find this in the “situational items”.
I update the guide often to make him better not only to keep it up to date.
And btw tell me if you would like more gameplay infos, like how to position / focus in team fight, wich is not specific to jhin but for adc overall

thank for reading, if you have more personnal questions add me on discord
