Champion Build Guide
MR Shred Shaco
UPDATED FOR 26.15 August 10th 2026~ CHANGES: IMPERIAL MANDATE SECOND ITEM AFTER MALIGNANCE, WATCH GUIDE FOR MORE INFORMATION ON LANING.~
This build revolves around items that are convenient to build as a support Shaco, who then shreds enemies after two items. The combination of Malignance and Bloodletter’s Curse on AP Shaco support turns them into a deceptively potent damage threat with strong utility in skirmishes and fights. Malignance provides a huge power spike by dealing bonus magic damage and breaking down magic resist as well as reducing ultimate cooldown. Since Shaco can use her R (Hallucinate) both as an engage and disengage tool, Malignance guarantees value whenever a fight starts or turns — adding reliable burst to her kit. In addition, Malignance’s passive cooldown reduction Shaco's ultimate ability, letting Shaco have the opportunity to use Hallucinate again in a shorter amount of time. I normally rush Malignance since the build path is nicer on a thin support budget, and the ultimate cooldown early helps so much lol.
Bloodletter’s Curse, meanwhile, enhances Shaco’s consistent poke and traps by applying stacking magic resist shred on enemies hit by her abilities. Shaco’s W (Jack-in-the-Box) and E (Two-Shiv Poison) both deal magic damage, and her clone can apply these as well, meaning it’s easy for them to start stacking the passive in lane and in fights. Once Shaco lands a few hits, Bloodletter’s passive reduces enemy MR by up to 30%, drastically increasing the effectiveness of her own damage and that of Shaco's AP allies. For a support who thrives on bush control and layered setups, this MR shred means that even short trades can lead to meaningful damage or even lethal burst later in the fight. The item also provides solid ability haste and health, giving Shaco much-needed survivability and more frequent spell use.
Together, this item duo empowers Shaco to function as a roaming disruptor and utility mage, not just a cheesy lane gimmick. Shaco gets the burst and ultimate cooldown she needs from Malignance, and the sustained teamfight value from Bloodletter’s MR reduction. This lets Shaco scale into mid-game teamfights and objective control scenarios where they can prep boxes around choke points, peel or pick with E, and send their clone in to apply pressure and passive damage. Unlike traditional support builds that focus only on utility or durability, this combo turns AP Shaco into a hybrid threat — able to weaken frontline tanks, punish overstepping carries, and soften up targets for the rest of her team to finish. It's a build that leans into Shaco’s deceptive nature while giving them real, scaling impact beyond early game cheese.
I appreciate everyone who has been reading this guide! I've been working on builds for ap shaco support (as well as tank aura yuumi... BE ON THE LOOK OUT!) Please consider supporting me, happy gaming :3
