Champion Build Guide
What does "High impact" mean?

It means that even though you are a support, you can put your entire team on your back and carry your whole team to victory.
In this build you are not a backline support Sona... You are the TANK, the HEALER, the DPS, you control the fights, push the frontline, bait fights.
Because you are so strong you can set the pace of the game.
It may be a bit "selfish" but in this world you are gonna save your team by being the strongest version of yourself.
Confirmed used in patch 26.18
Super Sona Quick Summary!
PROS
Cons
-
VERY Beginner friendly! (Bronze to Emerald certified)
Tanky and very forgiving on positioning
Enemies always try and hurt poor Sona, this build will keep you ALIVE
Very strong lategame, enhances Sona's natural lategame strenth.
Delivers very strong healing
Huge power spike when you complete 10 stacks and Fimbul
Good for aggressive players
The longer the game the better this build is.
Cons
-
Less total utility then other builds
Less allied buffs (No staff of flowing water)
Weaker in shorter games
In higher ELO's games generally get shorter, this build shines in Silver-Emerald, it needs more testing in higher ELO
You are weak until you hit your powerspike at around 20min.
Vulnerable to early game poke comps due to late boots.
Why Fimbul? Why ROA?
ROA feels underrated on Sona, the healing effect from the ability usage works extremely well as Sona casts spells nonstop, I commonly see the RoA ability alone score 3000-4000 healing in a single game.
ROA gives 800 mana at 10 stacks, this works extremely well with both Fimbul and Seraphs.

All of the stats from RoA (high AP, high HP, High Mana) are valuable to a "Tank" Sona.
Fimbul gives incredible survivability for Sona. Combined with RoA's huge mana pool, it turns you into a genuine offtank. Ready to survive whatever is thrown your way.

The General Idea

UNLIMITED MANA
UNLIMITED POWER
Be very agressive in the early game, play as a Q poke zoner
Mid game you roam and start to shift into healing and supporting
Late game you become aggressive again, catching people with E and surviving teamfights with your defensive items.
SPAM YOUR SPELLS!! RoA triggers after each cast, and you are always building up your tear.
This is an AGGRESSIVE build. You are not staying in the back, you are sticking your neck out and baiting players to dive you.
Use the magic boots movement speed to catch players out of position by being out of position yourself. Many players will not expect you to be so tanky and will die attempting to get the "Easy kill"
Banning Phase

Banning is pretty personal. And personally I ban Senna in 100% of the games I play. Laning against her is pure hell, she just out sustains Sona in the early game. Slowly dealing more dmg and more heals.
Early Game Dangers
This build can be weak to enemy lanes that have high amounts of range and burst.
Because the build requires magic boots, you have to go without reg boots for the first 10 minutes.
This can make laning difficult when paired vs champs that require high movement to dodge skillshots.
I recommend you stay back and play a very passive early game, once the mid game hits and Fimbul/boots come into play, you will be able to tank and dodge these hits.
The extra speed from magic boots will pay off, but you have to focus on not feeding in the early game..

Mid Game Dangers
This build really starts to shine once ROA hits 10 stacks and fimbul completes.
In the mid game as you are progressing to this goal, focus on spamming abilities to get your tear stacks and sona stacks up. Most of the items you will be building will be defensive so take advantage of the extra survivability.
I like to use this to get deep wards and hold onto your vision control

Late game Danger? No.. I AM THE DANGER

This build is extremely strong in the lategame, there genuinly are no late game dangers. You are now Super Saiyan and will survive anything they throw at you.
ROA gives 800 mana, combined with Filbul's 1000 and seraphs 1000, you will have 10 stacks of RoA, a completed Fimbul, and workng to a completed Seraph. This happens when Sona hits her 120 accel stacks and truely turns "Online".
In this build your role is an off-tank.
Sona by nature attracts players to try and take her out, a lot of people will be caught off guard with just how tanky you can be. This is a great way to win teamfights, baiting them to take dives and go deeper then they really should.
I will note that many Sona builds have Sona play the back line, this is very much a mid-frontline Sona build. To get the value you need to be aggressive and to use your tankyness as an advantage.
You will be amazed at how many people will throw themselves deep into your team to "one shot" you and fail to do so. The Seraph's sheild is very strong on this build.
Remeber that Fimbul sheild only procs when you Ult and that it is extra strong when there are many people around. In a fight these sheilds will commonly stack on each other (Plus your W) making you a temporary maintank.
This is where the build shines.
At 30mins you can expect to have
260 AP
3700 HP
4000 MP
65+ AH
Tips and Tricks
-
Poking with Q gives you money and stacks, in the early game, poke as much as possible, you should have no mana issues.
Once Catalyst is up and Fimbul is complete, it becomes very hard to go OOM. Mana is not an issue on this build. Use this to spam spells nonstop to get your accel stacks and tear stacks up.
Being Sona gives you a global AOE taunt. All players cannot resist the "Squishy" Sona. What they don't realize is you have 3500hp and 2000hp worth of sheilds (Seraphs+Fimbul+W) This will cause enemy players to dive deeper then they should, focus targets they shouldn't. Use this to your advantage
Tank, Heal AND Dmg? Is that really possible?
Yes! This build can reach 300AP+ lategame, in an ideal 30+ minute game, it is not uncommon to dominate both tanking and healing scores while holding a very competitive amount of damage dealt.
