Hey my name is Sugar and today I wanna introduce to you my new way to play Illaoi on toplane. In this guide I'm gonna show you some runes and items to play with. I played Phase Rush Illaoi on 27 ranked games in Diamond I and ended with 71% winrate. Enjoy! :)

Taking that option of playing Illaoi you have to prepare for agressive play style, being ultra fast and slow your enemy that much so he will stop even trying to run from you. Speed will be your ally and strong side of your play style. Every item is going to help you with killing and not losing to much minions because you won't need to go too far away of your lane. The question is why Illaoi with Kleptomancy isn't strong like she was? The answer is that Kleptomancy got some nerfs few patches ago. Even Gangplank which was the best Klepto-User is now better with Grasp.

PHASE RUSH - Hitting an enemy champion with 3 attacks or separate abilities or abilities grants a burst of MS and Slow Resistance. Good for chasing your enemy in fights. Doing E , W and Q combo you will get much MS and Slow Resistance + your E gives huge slow to your enemy. So Phase Rush seems to be a very good choice for Illaoi doesn't it?



NIMBUS CLOAK - Shortly after casting your Ultimate, gain a burst of movement speed. Same as Phase Rush but when you do the E, W, Q combo you have to use your R before W and Q.



UNFLINCHING - After casting a Summoner Spell, gain Tenacity and Slow Resistance for a short duration. Additionally, gain Tenacity and Slow Resistance for each Summoner Spell on cooldown. It's cool when you tp gank other lanes especially botlane. While tp gank you have MS advantage over your enemies.

TRINITY FORCE - Damage + Movement Speed + HP + Mana = Illaoi's most important factors.



ICEBORN GAUNTLET - Mana and Armor + Slowing enemy in hitting area after using a single skill.
