Zed is a Melee assassin that does tonnes of burst damage. In this build guide, I will teach you how to use Zed effectively and not get destroyed while in team fights. This build will focus on players who are trying the get the hang of Zed.

When playing Zed early game, try to harass the opponents with your Shadow Clone and Shuriken and get the double hits with the Shurkien to receive extra Energy. You will need it.

Make use of Zeds passive to last hit minions easily and quickly

Zed has a lot of burst, so don't be afraid to run at someone do a whole bunch of damage and blink yourself out with a clone.

You want Armor Pen marks for the Late game ganks on unsuspecting enemies.

The attack speed seals will help you early game to secure kills and dish out tonnes of damage

The CD reduction glyphs will help you to be able to harass more early game with your abilities being able to come back up faster

The Armor Pen quints will give you amazing late game potential in dealing with armor tanky enemies.

I focused on 21/9/0 masteries due to this build being about how to build him as a Glass AD cannon. 21 into the Offense tree will allow him to be an unstoppable damage force. The 9 into Defense will also give him more health and armor to be able to stay in lane longer at early game.

Focus on getting your Shuriken maxed first because it will deal the most damage to targets from afar. Your Shadow Slash will give you easy hits for your Shuriken if you place your Shadow Clone correctly. Having Shadow Slash maxed second will give you tonnes of burst damage early to mid game. Maxing Shadow Clone last will result in giving you lots of extra AD late game and will make you an unstoppable killing force.

For summoner spells I chose to take Ignite for taking out chunks of enemies health and finishing them off, and Exhaust to catch up to fleeing enemies or escape from fast ones. You can very well trade out Exhaust for Ghost or Flash for extra positioning but I don't see it necessary as you have your clones.

- Ultimate's damage can be very underpowered at times
- If focused, he will be very quickly taken out
- Must wait for his abilities to be back up before doing lots of damage again

When going into team fights, be sure to use this tactic. Use your Ulti on a squishy target and have a shadow clone be outside the fight by you placing one out there before you go in. Once your ulti has hit someone, teleport to your previous clone and use your Shadow Slash and Shuriken to add damage where you can.

When ganking, be sure to go in with your clone, apply the slow to them and burst them down with your auto attack and shurikens, and make sure to keep slowing them with your shadow slash.
