I am NOT being cocky and I am NOT hating on other Pantheon guides on this site.

If the title of my guide seems rude, then I apologize.

I am not bad mannered, or seeking to put other people down. Really, I'm not.

It's just that it has come to my attention that all the Pantheon guides on this site are...

well...

They don't know what they're talking about.

So I guess I have to write one for those who want to learn Pantheon and don't want to be told to do really unintelligent things, such as:

1) Max out Heartseeker Strike first (Explained why later in guide)
2) Pick really bad runes and masteries
3) Not play him right

I won't take my time to point out every single thing about the other guides that's wrong.

Let's get the other guides off of our mind and get right into mine!

So I decided I'll start my guide by showing you this:

Ehh.... I apologize for my Summoner name... I made it as a joke at first and then I actually got high level and didn't want to change accounts...

The games that show defeat give the illusion that I was playing horribly. Well, we all get matched with horrible teammates who feed from time to time =/ we just have to put up with it!

If every single rune you get is critical chance you will have +20.25% critical chance from runes. The masteries give you +4% critical chance.

Do the math, that's 24.25% critical chance level 1 with no items. That's almost 1 out of 4 hits that crit!!!

Offensive Masteries
They help you kill stuff faster. Read what each one does, that's why it helps!

Why are there 9 points in Utility?
Because all the other options are not useful. The only other useful option is getting the +3 mana regen per 5 seconds, which will help you early game as you will need mana to constantly harass with spear.

Start with:

Meki Pendant
+7 Mana Regen per 5 seconds

And 2 health potions to help you recover any damage taken, which should be minimized. I only get in the other heroes' range when I'm the one that's going to do damage (When I harass with spear)

And I never engage unless i'm 100% sure I can get the kill. Otherwise, you're taking a risk that's not worth taking. I'd prefer to not die over getting a kill and trading my life for his. I don't like it when it's even, or even close to being even, I like being OP and taking a massive lead in the game.

Pantheon hurls his spear at an opponent, dealing 65/105/145/185/225 (+ ) physical damage.

Do you see that?
At just level 3, when you can level up your spear to level 2:

That's 105 damage from your range 600 spear you can throw every 4 seconds and it only costs 45 mana.

That's why we get Meki Pendant. So we can spam spear for a really strong early game harass in lane.

This laning strategy is focused on the idea that "As long as I keep their health below mine, they will back off and I can deny them creep kills and experience."

Youmuu's Ghostblade

One of the best items for pantheon, which you should get after attack speed boots. The item Youmuu's Ghostblade gives you this:

+30 Attack Damage +15% Critical Strike Chance UNIQUE Passive: +15% Cooldown Reduction UNIQUE Passive: +20 Armor Penetration UNIQUE Active: You gain 20% Movement Speed and 50% Attack Speed for 4 seconds. Melee basic attacks increase the duration by 2 seconds up to a maximum duration of 8 seconds (60 second cooldown).

More attack damage and crit chance. Okay that's good. Helps you kill them faster and set off your crits more often.

passive: 15% cooldown reduction. Very good, you can spam your spear and more importantly, stun them more often, which gives you 1 whole second (which is plenty of time to deal massive damage with your high attack damage, high attack speed, and high critical damage chance).

The coolest thing this item does is:

UNIQUE Active: You gain 20% Movement Speed and 50% Attack Speed for 4 seconds. Melee basic attacks increase the duration by 2 seconds up to a maximum duration of 8 seconds (60 second cooldown).


You can use this in combination with Surge (which is 40% attack speed boost with the right mastery for 12 WHOLE SECONDS). You have this one as well, which is only 60 second cooldown, that's a kick *** item for him that u can use every minute! in every team battle! this one is 12 second long (if u hit them, which u will)!!! this is very good for pantheon. You can't miss this one.

Other items that are good are Phantom Dancer. Basically crit damage, attack damage, and attack speed for Pantheon!!

EARLY GAME:

Remember when I mentioned harassing with spear in lane early game?

You do it like this:
Throw Spear, Back off, Wait for 4 seconds, Throw Spear, Back off, Wait for 4 seconds...
etc...

Try to not take damage! Very important~! And if you run out of health potions, recall and save yourself from death, don't be dumb and try to lane with super low health.

MID GAME:
When you reach level 6 you're ready to kick ***. Take a look and pick the lane you can kick most *** in. Preferably the squishiest heroes, or any lanes with the enemy heros or hero are low hp.

Let your teammates know to let them push and the further they get from their tower, the better.

Use your ultimate to appear behind them, between their tower and them, meaning they have to get passed you (which they won't), Stun -> Spear -> start attacking.

This is the basic tactics to ganking with Pantheon. When you have ultimate use it in favorable situations where you know you can get kills.

If you go for a straight up fight or when your ultimate is on cooldown, this is the pattern that I follow:

Run up to them ---> Stun ---> Spear ---> attack a ****load ---> if i have Youmuu's Ghostblade I set it to "1" press 1 and keep attacking. When the cooldowns are off immediately use whatever comes back. stun or spear, just kick their ***.

Why is Heartseeker strike not being used to attack?
Because it's not nearly as effective as you straight up fighting them. You want to get the stun every level after spear to reduce cooldown, because in fights your stun can really help you whipe out their health to 0.

I've been in so many situations where i'm literally 1 hit away, and they are let's say a little over half. I stun em spear em and attack and I get the kill and get away fine.
