Introduction

Welcome, and first off thank you for reading my guide. This guide was inspired by not only my constant attempts and hard work during the last 8 months practicing this, but also it's increase in popularity due to the "Season One Dream Hack Championship". People have started noticing the power and potential of the jungling and roaming cow. So I urge you to try your hand at this amazing champion, and please leave constructive advice below.

Pros / Cons

Pros:

-Very Good Ganker
-Amazing Overall Tank
-Great Disable for Team Fights
-Additional Solo Lane for Maximum Leveling Potential
-Great Back-Door
-Has a Heal
-Tower Diving Champ
-Perfect Support
-Pretty Fast

Cons:
-Not a Lot of Damage (but that's what your teams for right?)
-Shallow Mana Pool (Be sure to get blue buff whenever available)
-Long Cooldowns

Runes

Basic tank runes because after about level 4 or 5 you should move into your roaming stage.
Greater Mark of Strength - This will keep your auto attacks powerful for those pesky towers.
Greater Seal of Resilience - Great for any jungler or tank.
Greater Glyph of Shielding - Scaling Magic Resist to save you from those AP nukes.
Greater Quintessence of Fortitude - Extra HP is always useful for tanks and jungleing.

Masteries

This is my custom made Alistar tree. It has a lot of defense with a few tweaks for the jungle. These includes Greed for that extra gold boost to help you reach those items.

Items

When playing any champion, use common sense with your items. Essentially, build around the enemy team.

A lot of AP?:
Abyssal Scepter
Force of Nature

Tons of AD or Carry?
Frozen Heart
Randuin's Omen

Skill Sequence

Although it can be argued thatTRIUMPHANT ROAR is the dominant beginning skill I preferPULVERIZE. It helps a ton if the enemy team goes for that surprise gank. I have gotten dozens for first blood because of this ability.

Summoner Spells

Ghost - This allows you to chase for your Pulverize Headbutt combo. Also a great ganking, diving, and on that rare occasion... escape tool.

Smite - Bread and butter jungler spell.

Flash - Another great escape.

Fortify - As a tank this is occasionally a good spell to choose.

Jungling / Roaming

The map below shows the jungle routines for both Beginner and Experienced players:
Take note that experienced players must leash Blue Buff to successfully down him. Also if even though you are a pro, but have an *** team, you should use the beginners guide. Error on the side of caution.

This is your roaming and ganking map:
Keeping ward placement is a must for ganking. You never know when a 2v1 can turn 3v2. The paths highlighted in black show you common ganking paths taken to catch the enemy off guard.

Farming

Now with all this jungling and roaming you might notice there isn't a lot of experience to be had. That is why you must be aware of your teammates and be ready to fill in whenever a lane is left empty. If one of your 2 solo lanes go b or die. YOU MUST TAKE THEIR PLACE. This will keep your experience up and ultimately help your team.

Team Work

Keep in mind your role in team fights. KEEP THE TEAM DISABLED AND SPREAD! Bye usingPulverize andHeadbutt carefully you can easily turn the tide of out numbered team fights.

Alistar at heart is a support champion. So if you're a support ...supporting, and your team does bad... transitive property YOU'RE BAD. I cannot stress enough, only play this champion when needed.

Summary

Although this build was only recently made possible, this is a very valuable asset to any team. This jungling, disable, support, tank can really turn the tide of combat. I hope you all get as much enjoyment out of playing this champion as I did. Have a great summer!
