Out of curiosity, why do you level up Rocket Grab first? Most Blitz players I see put one point in it for the grab, then level it last in favor of getting more damage in with the other abilities.
Cause grap have huge cd and up it give less cd ( punch too but early you aren't really tanky so you can't run and spam your punch), and for damage too, early your grap do more damage than punch, and lategame your punch is lvl 5 so, I personnally prefer spam my grap than run for punch somebody and die. :)
Your Ap Blitzcrank looks interesting with the Rod of Ages. You could try out 1 Rod of the Ages for sure, but maybe 2 Archangel's Staff are better, since it's passive that converts Mana to AP stack. If you are building maximum Mana it is definitely a good idea. Try it out and you will see, if you think your's is still better than you are at least more confident ;)
To your Ad build. It is definitely also a good idea to play Blitzcrank as an Ad offtank. You can check my build to check that out.
Sure with 2 archangel you'll have around 100 AP more than with rod of ages, but you lose a bit mana and life, I personnaly prefer keep my hp and my shield cause I'm always focused with this build, It's more easy to kill a 10k effective health Blitzcrank at 5 than in 1c1 and if you don't have enough hp and mana, it's dead you'll die like a poor Missfortune...
To your Ad build. It is definitely also a good idea to play Blitzcrank as an Ad offtank. You can check my build to check that out.
I've actually, personally, been trying to find time to make something like this. But I feared that the radical change to my Beginners build would just require a whole new guide to it, which might not be so popular.
