Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Hey guys, welcome to my second build so please do not hate. I am not 100% familiar with making a very detailed guide. But if you enjoyed this guide, or had a good experience with this build. Please leave a +1 as it will help my guide get more known. If you want to -1 it, please leave a reason why in the comments :D
You may have noticed, there are a lot of Kat guides, I think this one seem different enough to upload and share to the world.
Using this build I got my first penta-kill http://s802.photobucket.com/albums/yy302/maskedduck65/?action=view¤t=PENTAKILL.jpg not trying to brag, just some proof this guide works.
Feel free to customize this build to your liking!
Don't forget to go into the jungle every now and then. Pick up lizard or golem and kill some creeps for extra gold / exp.
Remember this will not always work, it depends on your team. League of Legends is a team based game. But with this guide you CAN carry your team as long as they don't feed.
Runes - I actually don't own all these runes, why? Im to cheap to buy them all. But use what you can get your hands on.
Skilling - If you do not like the way I am skilling, change it up, do what your comfortable with.
When im playing as Kat, I usually cannot grab middle, so I don't have much exp with her there. I usually take a lane with my friend.
To start things off, pick up a Doran's Shield and a Health Potion. I don't think the movement boots to start with is that helpful. Health > Speed.
Always try to be throwing your bouncing blade whenever it is up. Don't just let it sit there. It is a helpful way to clear out minions faster.
Hopefully you can pick up at least one early game kill and maybe even first blood. All though you can't always get that.
When you have enough money head back to base and pick up a Sword of the Occult. Start trying to get more kills now.
By now hopefully you have at least a few stacks of your Sword of the Occult.
When you reach enough gold, head back to base and grab a Ninja Tabi, Why ninja tabi? You have dodge runes, so hopefully it will make you take less damage. If needed grab Mercury's Treads.
By now you should be free roaming picking off the leftovers, or just ganking the people who think they can make a sneaky push. Remember don't go in for the kill without knowing if you have a chance of survival.
At this point in the game you should definitely have a few stacks of your occult. So head on back pick up a B.F. Sword, and when you get enough upgrade it to Blood Thirster.
Now why blood thirster? Because it gives you the most damage out of all the B.F. Sword upgradables. Also with some lifesteal.
Hopefully you can get enough money for your next big purchase, the Phantom Dancer. This item is very useful in this build. Although it may take you a little bit to build up to it. Keep buying it in chunks until you have the full version. The Phantom Dancer will make you have a lot more dodge rating, attack speed, and lifesteal. Which definitely will help you in the long run.
So you should be at that phase.. where your basically just dominating the other team or your getting pushed into your base. Hopefully the first one. Know if your team feeds this may be hard to pull of. But if possible, try to pick up a Rylai's Crystal Scepter. Know here is the part where people go, huh?? that's not AD. BUT it gives you a little bit more damage on your abilities with 80 ap, 500 health is a nice bonus. The most important part though is the slow effect. Enemies will have a hard time escaping with the slow on them.
If you find the enemy team is to caster heavy, build some magic resist. If you find you are becoming to squishy, try getting some armor or maybe even a guardian angel.
This probably won't happen because the game will be over but, if it somehow is one of those freak long games, try to build another Blood thirster in place of your Doran's Shield.
~Thanks For Reading~
Hopefully this guide will help you learn, and enjoy Katarina.
Comment, tell me your thoughts on my guide or if you have any suggestions to improve this guide, +1 if you enjoyed. If you are going to -1, please give a valid reason! This guide works for me. But may not work for you 100% of the time. It can all depend on how good your team is and if the enemies are fed or not.
Remember you can fully customize my build to your liking. If a team is heavy casters, build magic resist. If you find you die to much, buy some armor, or even a guardian angel.
