Spells:
Flash
Ignite
Ability Order
Void Shift (PASSIVE)
Malzahar Passive Ability
Introduction
If you can't already tell, this is a somewhat troll/alternate build that is only being considered because of his voidlings. The voidlings have a 1:1 AD ratio with Malzahar and that is really the only reason why. I hope that you will consider this instead of dismissing it instantly and can give me feedback in the comments.
Greater Marks Of Desolation: +1.66 Armor Penetration, +14.94 with 9 Marks
-Malzahar's Voidlings are affected by armor, so the armor penetration will really help
Greater Seal of Clarity: +0.065 Mana Regen per 5/level, +1.17 at lvl 18, +10.53 at lvl 18 with 9 Seals
-Malzahar's Voidlings are sent out after 4 spells, so when spamming spells, you will need the mana to regen quickly
-per level is better than flat because per level becomes better than flat at around level 6-7
Greater Glyph of Focus*: +0.65% CDR, +5.85 with 9 Glyphs
-Malzahar's Voidlings are sent out after 4 spells, so the CDR will be helpful when trying to get multiple Voidlings
Greater Quintessence of Swiftness: +1.5 Movement Speed, +4.5 Movement Speed with 3 Quints
-Movement speed quints are extremely good to have, people often underestimate movement speed
or...
Greater Quintessence of Strength: +2.25 Attack Damage, + 6.75 Attack Damage with 3 Quints
-Allows you and your voidlings to hit harder
*Greater Glyph of Celerity (+0.0532% CDR/level) can be used as well, because the early game should not focus on spamming spells and is more of a late game thing.
OFFENSIVE MASTERY TREE
For the extra stats when ignite is on cd, its not much but its just to put it somewhere.
Allows you and your voidlings to hit a bit harder.
This is not a very important stat for Malz, but it is necessary to get so you can have this next mastery.
Voidlings are affected by armor so an extra 10% armor pen will be nice.
CDR is very important to be able to dish out multiple voidlings.
Towers win this game so an extra 10 damage will be helpful. (Unknown if the extra 10 damage works with voidlings, would like a confirmation from anyone)
1.5% extra damage, that's just too good to pass up.
More armor penetration? Yes please.
This is just good to have. A chance to have a 6% damage increase is a lot.
DEFENSIVE MASTERY TREE
Magic resist is a nice stat to have because with the build, you won't have much.
This is just for the sake of getting into the 2nd row of masteries.
More health=more survivability.

Doing theory for this was extremely hard, and I sorta just gave up in the end, but I think these are a good final 6 items.

Now that I have started playing this, I realize that Malzahar is pretty mana hungry. Sapphire Crystal is a must have because honestly, early game skill cost is too damn high to try and summon voidlings.
vs.
You should try to get the Ionian boots of Lucidity because you want to try to lower your cooldown as much as possible, but if you are facing a team full of cc, go with the Mercury Treads.
It gives Attack Damage and Armor penetration, those are the 2 main stats that affect the voidlings.
Allows for a constant slow so the voidlings can keep attacking, attack damage so voidlings hit harder, and health for more survivability.
Problems with anything? BUY MANAMUNE!(for you Grasshyren fans). Because you need so spam spells to have your voidlings, you will run into mana problems and the manamune will fix it. It also gives a pretty good amount of attack damage.
CDR, Attack Damage, Armor Pen, this pretty much just gives everything that Malzahar needs. The active is also good too use if you want to run away from someone or catch up to someone.
vs.
This was a very hard call to make. Bloodthirster gives more attack damage and gives lifesteal while the Cleaver increase attack speed, still gives a good amount of attack damage, while also shredding armor. Both are fine picks and you really can't go wrong with either, but I pick bloodthirster because lifesteal is an amazing stat to have.
Total Cost: 14387, relatively expensive I suppose, but that is why this is theory.

>>>R>E>W>Q
When going AD, your ultimate is not supposed to be the main damage dealer, rather, it should be the Null zone under the enemy and the two voidlings going to town.
Your E is how you get the voidlings to target the enemy champion. Use the W on the enemy champion when your passive is charged and the voidling will attack the enemy champ. Also, at LVL 5, it has a CD of 7(reduced more by CDR), so this is the more spammable spell that you can use.
Your W is still ridiculously strong even without AP. It's an AOE %HP skill and if people are just standing on it, it will deal ridiculous damage in a fight.
Your Q is the next lowest CD skill, which also has good utility(if you can land it). An AOE silence that lasts for 3 seconds. 3 seconds is a very long time, especially in a team fight.
