Introduction

DISCLAIMER: First off, this is just an improvement from my old guide. I played MF a little bit more, and decided on better items, skills, play styles, etc.
Since my old guide was so old, it didn't have a chance to get any kind of recognition.
So the only thing that i could think of was making a new guide entirely o:
well, here ya go~

This was a previous Miss Fortune build, but after some extreme work, I have shed blood, sweat and tears into the creation of this guide so I can show all of you how I play Miss Fortune :D
And hearing about the next patch how there's a Miss Fortune update, I decided to log into this account and rework on my old Miss Fortune build.
Please keep in mind that I've mained Miss Fortune from level 20-30 and above. I've gotten at least 100 wins with her for my normal games, and play her in ranked games from time to time, and she never fails me.

Please take the time to read the whole guide before you vote :)

Lore

For those who brave the harsh seas of Runeterra, attaining one’s own ship and crew is the pinnacle of success. Sarah Fortune, a well-respected (some would say legendary) bounty hunter from Bilgewater, was able to achieve this feat just after her sixteenth birthday, etching out her name as the go-to gal for resolving special troubles. No bounty was too difficult or too dangerous for her feminine charm and her renowned use of her twin pistols, “Shock and Awe”. Her success gave her the means to legitimately purchase her own ship… with a little flirtatious haggling, of course. Things weren’t always so fortunate for Miss Fortune, though. When she was young, trade ships began to dot the horizon of her quiet home along the northern shores of Blue Flame Island’s largest chunk. Trade routes brought piracy, and the inhabitants soon found themselves caught in a frenzy of pillage.

One day, young Sarah returned home to hear gunshots and screaming. Her front door was smashed open; inside, she saw her mother lying in a pool of blood. A sudden blow to her head made her collapse next to her slain mother. The last thing she could remember were her attacker’s red eyes, as his face was blocked by a rogue’s bandana. Miss Fortune has a strong distrust for pirates and she finds herself constantly bickering with the infamous Gangplank (the only captain to resist her charms) over the direction of Bilgewater politics. Her two goals: to unite the people of Bilgewater, making them into a strong and independent society, and to find the pirate who killed her mother. To that end, she has entered the League of Legends as a champion, trading her skills for the wealth and influence that will help her accomplish both.

"More men have voluntarily surrendered to the care of Miss Fortune than any other bounty hunter.”

Skills

Passive: Strut

A decent passive. Amazing early game. This helps you move around the lane quickly for ganks, dodging those skill shots that seem to somehow make it in between those caster minions, and anything else you can think of that doesn't involve taking a massive amount of damage up the butt.

Q Spell: Double Up

Amazing skills for harassing. You target an enemy which fires a bullet at it (whether it be a minion, or a champion) and the bullet bounces off and hits the enemy DIRECTLY behind it for 115% damage. This hit deals on-hit effects, so be sure to use that to your advantage. To correctly use this, wait until the enemy champion is directly behind the farthest in the back minion. Use Double Up on the farthest back minion, and since there's no one else besides the enemy champion to hit, the bullet will bounce of and hit him/her. Using Double up also resets your attack counter, so make sure you use it right after an auto attack to maximize your damage output. This trick greatly helps early game since you won't be having a lot of attack speed until you get your W and a phantom dancer.

W Spell: Impure Shots

AMAZING Ranged skill. This is an on-hit effect which deals extra magic damage whenever you attack something with an Impure Shots stack. Also, activating this skill gives Miss Fortune a boost in attack speed, which is amazing in fights. If you feel like playing aggressively, or you want to get that kill in a 1v1 fight, then this skill is your bread and butter. Activate W, pop your Q after an auto attack, and just watch bullets fly. This is your main damaging skill early/mid game. The bonus damage can also help you get that last hit on a minion, which is another great example of why Impure Shots is f*cking amazing.

E Spell: Make It Rain

Take it at level 3 or 4 depending on how well you're doing in lane. Level 3 if you're doing amazing and you're about to get a kill, or level 4 if you want to get that extra point in Q for the harass. Either way, it's a great AoE slow, but does AP damage. Max this skill last since you only get it for the slow, not the damage. But keep in mind that the AP Ratio is actually pretty high, and has a decent amount of base damage. Remember this if you ever feel like making an AP Miss Fortune build for yourself.

Ultimate: Bullet Time
uAWESOME ULTIMATE! As a skill shot nuke, Use it for farming, picking up that runaway kill, or use it in a team fight to just demolish everyone. Whichever way you want to use it, it's just amazing nonetheless. Keep in mind that each bullet deals its own amount of damage, so enemies closer to you will get dealt more damage than those in the outer edge of the cone.

The usual combo in the beginning of the team fight is to simply Ult, W, Q, and then pick off each target one by one. Only use your E on those that are trying to run away.

Runes

Time for some rune explanations
This rune build is focusing on early game laning, and farming, which is the most important aspect for Miss Fortune. If you screw up on farming or getting kills, your mid and late game will get crushed pitifully.
Armor Pen Marks
are for easier last hitting. And since your Q is physical damage, that 115% damage can possibly translate into true damage if you have enough armor pen.
Armor Seals
are just in case you take some minion aggro, their ranged is trying to do a little poking, or their melee wants to come in a little close for the kill. This can help you retaliate a little.
Magic Resist Glyphs
are for your low base magic resist. As well as just being a little bit more tankier than most of the other ranged DPS out there.
Health Quints
are to make yourself just that much tankier in lane to sustain yourself in those little lane fights. Hopefully your lane partner is a melee/tank.

Items

To start off, grab your Doran's Blade for the extra HP, Lifesteal, and damage. This is going to help you out with your farm and such.
Once you get enough farm, go back and grab your boots + wards + hp pots (Only if they're completely necessary)
The extra attack speed should be able to let you get in, poke, and get out quickly coupled up with your passive.

By the time it's 15 minutes in, a normal game for me, I would have at least 70-90 last hits. If you don't have 100 last hits by the time it's 20 minutes in, you're doing something wrong. Miss Fortune is very, VERY item dependent and requires a lot of gold farming. Whether it be from minion farming or kills, if you don't have a BF sword and boots by the time it's 20 minutes in, start farming some more. Focus on last hitting, and don't focus too hard on harassing. But try to do it whenever possible :)

The main core of your build are Boots, Infinity's Edge, Phantom Dancer, and a Bloodthirster. Past this, it's all on your call.
Thornmail for their DPS, Randuin's for their AD, Banshee's Veil for their AP casters, Last Whisper for their tanky as f*ck champs, or possibly some more damage items like another bloodthirster. Either way, as long as you get those 4 items stated up top, then you're good to go.

Summoner Spells

Why take Flash/Exhaust?

Because. Miss Fortune is super squishy, and needs some kind of 1v1 tool to help her get the kill, or escape.
Exhaust helps you lower the damage output of your enemy which greatly helps you in any kind of situation. Whether it be getting the kill, or preventing the kill, make sure to make the most out of this spell.
Now for flash, we have all had the good times with flash, trying to chase for the kill under the turret, but please when doing so, carefully evaluate the potential of the person that you are trying to turret dive.
For example, do not, even if they are at one bar of health, turret dive a riven. She will literally QQ on your ***, stun, shield, another Q, life steal, and you will have taken at least 4-5 turret shots by now. So in short, don't turret dive. (what was I talking about earlier? Oh yeah. Flash. Lol. OCD ftw)
Flash is used to escape. Simple as that. :3

Spells you SHOULDN'T TAKE:

Heal: It's all right to get Heal if you're a noob MF player. It helps you get used to her.
Clarity: Don't go off spamming your skills. You should be better than that.
Rally: Trololol
Revive: 9 min CD? Nty
Fortify: Something for the tank
Clairvoyance: Something for the support

All of the other spells are all right if you know how to use them. If you do, then go ahead and take it if you want. Exhaust and Flash are my personal bread and butter for any AD Champion.

Team Work/Gameplay

Laning Phase/Early Game

As the carry, focus on last hitting, and nothing else. If you have a chance to harass with your Q, feel free to do so. But besides this, last hit, last hit, and last hit.
MF is an amazing last hitter since her animation is so quick, and since her W gives you extra damage, this also works well with sexy last hitting. As mentioned before, you should normally have at least 100 last hits by the time it's 20 minutes in. Boots, and some gold for a B.F. Sword if you don't have one already.

Mid Game

Once you have boots, and you can gank, do so. Since your strut gives you extra movement speed, they won't be expecting you to leave your lane so quickly. Your combo is opening up with your Q and W, then auto attack. If they flash away, then don't chase. You can't chase. You don't have chasing skills since MF has a slow base speed. The only way you can pick up a runaway is with your E (slow) and auto attacks, or a perfectly aimed Ult. Keep in mind that if they flash over a wall, your ult is a skill shot so it can go through walls. Once your Q comes back up, use it. And if they run away, use your Ult, or chase with flash/ghost (Whichever one you took), or be smart and retreat. Sometimes opening up with your Ult is good as well, since by the time that you're level 12, your ult is going to do some amazing damage against minions. (When you use your ult, don't forget to get the minions in the cone too)

Late Game/Team fights

This is your time to shine-Team fights.
Miss Fortune will melt ANYTHING in her path. All you have to do is use her wisely.
Focus their carries in the front, pick off their carries in the back, then if you can, get their tank. Now this should be pretty self explanatory, but please, DON'T target the tank. Please. Don't. Your team will hate you for doing so, and we don't want that to happen :(

Opening up with your Ult is the best option for the team fight, since it will be doing at least 600+ Damage to each champion if they're stupid enough to stay in the cone of death.
Now remember that Miss Fortune is SQUISHY. If you're new to Miss Fortune, feel free to add some defensive items to this build. But if you're an experienced hardened player, then you would know that all you have to do is wait for the tanks to take all of the aggro for a few seconds, then pick off all of their carries.

Summary

So with all of this, you should be well on your way to raping the other team in their eyeballs in acidic fluids.
