Summoner Spells...

I sometimes get ignite, but I use exhaust and flash most of the time. Exhaust can help you escape, and can help you kill a fed champion, ignite does not. As for flash, it can be used as escape or chasing.

Masteries...

I go with 21/9/0 for my masteries, mainly because my summoner spells took up the defensive part. Plus your runes with lots of offense boosts, you will have a big advantage in early games.

Akali's story...

There exists an ancient order originating in the Ionian Isles dedicated to the preservation of balance. Order, chaos, light, darkness -- all things must exist in perfect harmony for such is the way of the universe. This order is known as the Kinkou and it employs a triumvirate of shadow warriors to uphold its causes in the world. Akali is one of these shadow warriors, entrusted with the sacred duty of Pruning the Tree - eliminating those who threaten the equilibrium of Valoran.

A prodigal martial artist, Akali began training with her mother as soon as she could make a fist. Her mother's discipline was relentless and unforgiving, but predicated on the fundamental principle: ''We do that which must be done.'' When the Kinkou inducted her into the order at the age of fourteen, she could slice a dangling chain with a chop of her hand. There was no question - she would succeed her mother as the Fist of Shadow. She has had to do much in this role which others might find morally questionable, but to her it is in service of her mother's inviolable doctrine. She now works with her fellows Shen and Kennen to enforce the balance of Valoran. This hallowed pursuit has unsurprisingly led the triumvirate to the Fields of Justice.

''The Fist of Shadow strikes from the cover of death itself. Do not impede the balance.''

Spell Combo...

Akali has a very nice combo, even if you have very low AP.
Mark of the Assassin (Q) + Shadow Dance (R) + Crescent Slash (E) can do a lot of damage in a matter of seconds.

Tutorial...

Basically, you don't want to play TOO aggressive until you're level 2. <--Since, you didn't get your shroud at level 1/// Normal games, just focus on killing. If you're mid, play defensively if he/she is a ranged (EVEN if he/she is squishy) Also, when they have a jungler... DO NOT get baited. If you're bot or top with someone, ping before you attack. If your partner has cc, you can most likely win your lane. (REMEMBER PING BEFORE YOU ATTACK)

If you are feeding and is not doing so well. You should get some defensive items, such as abyssal scepter, zhonya's, (force of nature, warmog's) <-- if you REALLY have to.

Tips & tricks

When you don't have enough gold to buy sight wards, it's good to level up twilight shroud as substitute. For instance, when somebody comes and ganks, you can throw your twilight shroud and juke your way out. However, if they have pink ward or oracle, you can call your teammates and gank them. Your shroud can also be a good way to help you face check. And when team fights are happening, throw you shroud as soon as possible, so when you're not attacking, you'll be invisible to the enemy.

Use your ult as an advantage. You can use your ult to chase (by jumping to minions). or running away.

Use your Q to harass at low levels, when you're level 6, you can start poking them very hard. But before you do that, throw a shroud around it, and check around, before they gank counter gank you!
