Introduction
I hope you guys enjoy this guide, and hopefully it will help you win games, cause it has helped me !
The two summoner spells you should choose for Akali are Flash and Ignite.
Flash for getting that little bit of more reach for your ultimate or just simply escaping.
Ignite for finishing off somebody or to help you kill this tanky character that opposes as a threat to you.
You could also get Ghost to substitute for ignite since you wouldn't have to get boots of swiftness and get boots of lucidity or sorcs.

Akali is a champion with great potential as she is pretty simple to use and has great damage output. Akali is a great janitor and can help around teamfights pretty effectively as her spell vamp will hopefully keep you alive. If the other team has CC's antimages, silences then Akali will be pretty much difficult to play. Play her with caution and always have strategies in your sleeve just in case.
For the starter item I picked is Dorans Blade. Some of you guys would think me wrong, but I just think this is the best starter item. It gives you the AD. Then you rush your hextech revolver for the AP boost and the spell vamp. Next comes sheen, for the bonus for your Q. Finally you get your boots, then you rush your Rabadons for the MAJOR boost in AP. Rylais for the HP and AP and the slow.

A 2 Rabadon, Void Staff and Lichbane is ESSENTIAL to destroying heavy MR tanks like Singed or Morde.

Akali is great and a threat to:
Squishies such as Teemo, Cait, Janna, Anivia, Annie, etc. Since your damage output from your Q, Ult and E will probably destroy them. Your Q should hopefully cause half of their HP or hopefully more. Maximum of 2 Q's would kill them since your E and Ult would weaken them up. The boost from your Lichbane would MAJORLY help. You could go up to 600 magic damage just by your Q+Lichbane and since you have spell vamp, it would keep you alive to heavy nukers such as Annie and Veigar.
Akali is not that great against:
Singed, Jarvan, Rammus, anyone who is TANKY and is probably stacking MR or armor. You would probably kill the armor tank pretty easily unless they are stacking HP too. If they are a threat to you such as a Singed, a rylai and 2 rabadons should be enough to oppose as a threat to them. Just watch out and don't get focused by the tanks. Tanks such as Jarvan could easily destroy you if he is stacking HP, AD and Armor(sometimes MR). If you flash is under cooldown, his cataclysm could be deadly with his AD output.
PS. Mordekaiser is surprisingly EASY to kill. Don't underestimate him though. All you have to do is destroy his shield, and it is GG for him.
**IMPORTANT**
If the tanks are farmed and fed, a *VOID STAFF* is probably the best choice to try to hurt them.
JUST REMEMBER THAT AKALI ISN'T RAMBO. SHE MAY GET TRIPLES FROM SQUISHIES, BUT IF YOU ARE FOCUSED BY CC'S THEN YOU WILL PROBABLY BE DESTROYED IF YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO JUKE THEM. That is why I said to prepare strategies. Your W is a slow and a cloak.
