If you switch up your runes a bit you can start at lvl 1 with both disciplines with doran's blade. Give it a shot I think you will find it to be quite a bit more effective and allow you to lane or mid much longer. You may also consider building Hextech before zonya's, Imo its a better choice but if the game does last long enough I would finish the build with zonyas, it's amazing for Akali regardless of what everyone says the ap boost with lichbane is just ridiculous.

Lovely guide by McIngo, gotta love the high ap and burst that this build provides. Jump in (r), q em , auto attack em, e (em) , then enjoy the gold numbers that fly. Glad zhonya's is mentioned, gives u a powerful escape mechanism / aoe doge in addition to your w. With the recent buff to hextech equipment id also suggest that as a nice finale to give a huge boost to spell vamp. Great guide in general :D

The build and all is nice, but I just couldn't bring myself to read the whole thing. Do you think it's cute to spell everything wrong like that? Cause it's really annoying.

otherwise, nice guide ;)

"The "q" spell", I call MOTA(q) is "Mark of the Assasin" which the shortcut for that spell is "q"

Definitely glad this was posted. I've been playing Akali from about a month into my career in this game, and I have to say this is the most coherent build I've found. I disagree a little on the B.F. Sword... would rather go Guinsoo's Rageblade; I also go Boots of Swiftness instead of Sorcerer's Treads. But definitely tweaking my own style to fit this. +1

Assuming the ennemy has 50 magic resist (most heroes), 20 magic resist makes reduce damage factor going from 3 (50/150 -> 1/3) to 4.33 (30/130). This means that a 300 damage skill will do 200 damage on 50 magic resist (without boots), and 231 with 30 magic resist (with boots).

"In my opinion Ap-Akali is so much better then AD-Akali and Hybrid-Akali becouse Akali is a very vulnerable champion so she cant just stand around a autohit becouse it will make her die." => "*After that I buy a "BF sword" for extra damage."
-> What's the meaning of getting BF if you don't go mix or damage ? If you wanna improve your passive, play her mix or just upgrade your Long sword to a Sword of the occult, it's cheaper (and better if you manage to kill and not die) :)

"Rotation:
Mark of the Assassin(q)
Twilight Shroud(w)
Crescent Slash(e)
Shadow Dance(r)
Auto hit(a)"
=> "Do Twilight Shroud(w) when you start to take damage becouse I've seen many Akalis who use Twilight Shroud(w) in there rotation witch isn't good at all becouse you lose much energy"
Not really a contradiction if you consider that you'll get hit after the mark, but make sure not to cast Shroud if you're not hit. Also, you should open with Shadow Dance, like this it will be available after the other skills and you'll be able to do it once at the opening, and once at the ending.

Your ability sequence is classical and nice.

You may change Greater Mark of Force (Ap/lvl) to Greater Mark of Insight (Magic penetration) instead of AP (they are the best penetration runes and worst AP).

Guide is updated now =D
