Will of the Ancients is thousands times better than Guinsoo, it also has some group utility.

And what's the reason behind maxing out Crescent Slash before Mark? Maxed out Mark does 300 damage + 0,8AP each combo (combo = Mark+Melee Hit). Akali's a ganker, not laner, you need crazy nuke to run around at lvl 6 and get at least 5 kills before team fights, otheriwse you're gonna be underfed.

@Helios, dunno how you can't CC Akali. When you attack outta Shroud, you are visible. KKTHXBYE.

Also which of deep Offence talents, except 21 points one, work with Akali well? None? Oh cool! And how good it is to survive fight with Yi or Tryn? Very good!

Being squishy in team fight is what they call 'getting focused asap'. Seeing glass cannon built champ I just get to him and he's down within moments... And you're not Carry, you are an Assassin...

FM is only survivability in this build. Also for God's sake, FM gives you no damage output! Rylai's has slow too! And AP! OMG OMG AP! Yes Akali's AP champ.

Ulti is distance closer, not damage dealing ability... Spamming it leaves you with no means of chasing, you can't even run (yes if you have brain and bit of luck, nothing compares to SD used on minion while running).

He clearly played with noobs, or had amazing team. Building Akali as Hybrid is like being jack of all trades - good at everything, excels at nothing. **** damage, and mediocre Spell Vamp.

I have no need of making my own guide, as I've been learning how to play with one of guides at leaguecraft.com. Best one I can add. And as I fully agree with mentioned guide I see no sense to make new one. Well it at least had theorycrafting and reasoning behind it, instead of: "If you have tanky enemies, go for AD", good joke.

Akali is offensive champ, but you need survivability, and offence tree has ****ty synergy past 9 points, live with it. Defence on the other hand does great job.

Wanna see your Akali with maxed Crescent and guinsoo get owned badly by me... well 90% Akalis do get owned by me badly;) Especially AD/Hybrid ones, not to mention those who start gank with Shroud;o


Edit: Only reason to go for full Offence is 21 points talent, but it's waste of 11 points, I'd rather have more AP coming from Defence tree.

i realized i was wrong with the rageblade becuz ur gonna end up sellin it later game you wanna have it early game cuz it can change tides of battles tho so i switched it with Will Of the Ancients thx

i don´t get why an ap akali should rush guinsoos... this item is pretty much useless in 5s unless you go hybrid... then your burst is missing though
and helios, wanna do 1on1? i wanna see you killing me with crecent slash maxed out before mark of the assassin ;D

You clearly did not read the guide. Aios explains that the other builds are situational.
You stated "going for offence with Akali is suicide"... you clearly do not play Akali as you should and if so... your CLEARLY just bad. Akali is an AP Carry and should be played as such.
Being squishy is what comes with High dps so you have to play carfully.
Just like any other carry (Vayne, Brand, etc) you trade out health and armor for high damage.
You also stated that the items he has selected gave him no survivability.. the reason behind the Rylai's and if your having trouble the Forzen Mallet(which he clearly states that it should only be taken if needed)(which since you clearly didn't read the guide and made assumptions as a 2 year old would whilst "reading" a picture book you said was a bad choice.) Is for the slowing effects to help chase and/or get away from an enemy and the health that BOTH RCS and FM have is for SURVIVABILITY (I don't think health is used for much more than survivability.. Do you ?)

Annnd 1 more thing. Another reason you were wrong .. about... uuhmm 90% of your post. Akali is a nuke champion and as such her ulti IS spammable and and with a Rabadon's and Lich bane Should be spammed. Hitting an enemy with your "Q" followed by an Ulti would proc Lich. Lich proccing from your q and then not only do dmg for the ulti but also dealing an extra 500 from Lich. if you look at the cheat sheet her Lich procs would be around 460-500 EACH proc. Enabling a good OFFENSIVE Akali (with proper use of Twilight Shroud)to single handedly take out and entire team.

P.S. Akali CAN be built as a hybrid. while full AP is reccomended.. if your an exceptional Akali player(which you CLEARLY aren't) you can farm a lot of champ kills and if you are confident in your abailites grabbing a Sword of The Occult and a Mejai's IS amazing. Ive seen Aios go 24-0-3 with 20 stacks on both Mejais and Sword of Occult (Rabadon's and Lich Bane were among his other items)

If used correctly Akali can be an unstoppable force.
So i suggest you go practice before you discredit other peoples work.
If you know so much about akali..instead of going around trying to down play other peoples work... make a guide of your own ?

Helios, Summoner LVL 30 <-- Answering your question..you cannot CC an Akali when she 1-2 shots you out of invisiblity.

Good runes, that's only thing I can say. Item builds are baaaad! Why? Because:

1. Ninja Tabi -> Mercury's Treads, Tabi only works against team with lots of AD Carries, doesn't happen often, while MT are CC killers.

2. Guinsoo, just why? It's got very little AP, and if you want AD passive get Doran. Works much better, also with Akali's Attack Speed passive on Guinsoo ain't good

3. Sword of the Occult is useless for Akali, she gets nothing from AD, AD Akali is simply bad. It's AP champ, not a Hybrid/DPS...

4. You have completely no MP involved or survivability.

5. What you did in 2nd build gives Akali no damage at all... Also Rylai's > Frozen Mallet any day.


You've just showed how NOT to play Akali, and your typical hybrid builds, worth nothing.

Guide isn't full and bit incompetent, you lack info about Summoner Spells. Just 2 ain't 'nuff. Exhaust with proper masteries is way better late game than Ignite.

Next, going for offence with Akali is suicide, you'd do better getting 9 points there and rest for Defence, she's squishy already. As AP burst champ she has no need for Attack Speed bonus nor Armor Penetration.

Proper build, assuming balanced enemies should go like:

Doran->Boots->Sheen->Rylai's->Revolver->Boots lvl 2->Rabadon's->Lich Bane->Gunblade.

You can then get Will or Void Staff. It's hard to obtain full build, actually if ur not fed/lucky (more lucky:P), but after getting Rabadon's all the fun starts, then with Lich Bane your nuke is simply amazing, you can pull off 3k+ damage in 2 seconds.

You also forgot to mention play style anyhow. You didn't even mention basic trick of double Mark or that Shadow Dance is really last resort ability and should not be spammed unless you're going for sure kill with it.

@Helios, dunno what level you play at, but I got such scores at lvl 10 where ppl don't even know Akali. Every good team will focus you and CC as much as possible.

While you can keep lane alone, it's rather bad idea. Akali's awful farmer too, unless you're really, really good with her. She's not pusher either.

Also you've mentioned she runs out of energy too quickly... No she doesn't, her Q gives back lotsa energy and it can be cast each 2-3sec at lv5. She has no energy problems at all.

AND NEVER EVER EVER NEVER... start gank with shroud, it's waste of your only defensive ability. It's not some black hole or pit of death.

WOW! this guide is amazing! I've only used akali a few times so i clicked on a random build to follow. late game around 50mins in i got a 1v4 quad kill followed by a 5v5 team fight penta kill!
