Introduction

Akali is a very squishy champ but, if used correctly has amazing survivablity. Akali can make a major comeback in a team fight if things aren't going so well. IF fed a skilled Akali can literally get a penta kill in one sweep. One thing you want to keep in mind is that Akali has very low hp and not a lot of defence so choosing your battles wisely can be the difference between a good or bad K/D.

Akali is an extremely opportunistic champ, paying good attention to your mini-map can earn you a good amount of extra kills. For anyone who is serious about becoming an execptional Akali player I strongly urge you to fully read this guide. Good Luck Have Fun!

Abilities

Passive: Twin Disciplines
Upon obtaining 20 Ability Power, Akali's basic attacks deal 10% bonus magic damage, increasing by 1% for every 5 Ability Power gained thereafter.

Upon obtaining 10 Bonus Attack Damage, Akali gains 10% Spell Vamp, increasing by an additional 1% for every 5 Bonus Attack Damage gained thereafter.

Q key: Mark of the Assassin
Akali spins her kama at a target enemy to deal magic damage and mark the target for 6 seconds. Akali's melee attacks against a marked target will trigger and consume the mark to cause additional damage and restore Energy.

W key: Twilight Shroud
Akali throws down a cover of smoke. While inside the area, Akali gains Armor and Magic Resist and becomes stealthed. Attacking or using abilities will briefly reveal her. Enemies inside the smoke have their Movement Speed reduced

E key: Crescent Slash
Akali flourishes her kamas, dealing damage based on her attack damage and ability power.

R key(ultimate): Shadow Dance
Akali moves through shadows to quickly strike her target, dealing damage and consuming an Essence of Shadow charge. Akali recharges Essence of Shadow charges both periodically and upon kills and assists, max 3 stacks.

Runes

I chose The Greater Mark of Insight because magic pen. on Akali is a great way to eat through a players defence.

The Greater Seal of Envasion provides great synergy with the Ninja Tabi and the Evasion/Nimbleness masteries.

The Greater Glyphs of Potency are Akali's bread and butter, enabling her to get quick kills early game.

For the same reasons i use The Greater Glyphs of Potency, I use the Greater Quintessence of Potency because it provides an exceptional boost of damage early game.

Summoner Spells

I chose these Summoner Spells because number on the Flash is useful for getting you in and out of sticky situations and the Ignite for getting that last hit on a running enemy champion early game/ when your ulti stacks are used up and for champs that have health regain such as a Mundo or Swain

Items

This is what your build should look like when finished. Most of the time I dont make it to Rabadons and Lich Bane because games are usually over by that time but, if you can manage to get fed or finish a build this is what it should look like end game. The Lich Bane is an excellent item because when a spell is used your next physical attack does an additional 100% of your ability power in damage. So say if you used your Twilight Shroud which is Akali's slow and then Shadow Danced which is her ultimate you would have just done massive damage in just two hits. I went 17/5/2 with this build that is shown.

These items are based on if your opposing team is mostly AD or Ianky and you need to take them down faster. This build gives Akali more defence and health. The Madred's Bloodrazor is a key item only because you deal magic damage equal to 4% of the target's maximum health

Lol now I know what your thinking like what the hell is this but this build is if you wanna be messed up and you go up against a team full of ranged AP build champs. The reason for 2 Gunblades and Will of the Ancients is for the Spell Vamp. you basically convert there spell damage into your spell damage and there damage they would usually have is minused by however much percent of Spell Vamp you would have, in this case 2 Gunblades with Will of the Ancients makes 75% spell vamp and there damage minused by 75%. Also to you have +94 magic resist since the Mercury Treads,HexDrinker and Aegis of the Legion

If you get fed in game it may be a good thing to pick Mejai's Soulstealer and Sword of the Occult because each they both stack and each item can get 20 stacks they hold alot of AP/AD and if you manage to get 20 stacks you will get 20% cooldown reduction and 15% movement increase. But make sure you dont die a lot because you lose 1/3 of each stack and you won't have your dmg anymore. These items are just for if you get fed but if not just go for regular build I have up top.

Stratagies

So when your in a team fight with Akali your gonna want to attack the squishiest person on the opposing team so you can down them quickly without wasting any health. Since your gonna be going a bunch of AP dmg you should only really need to use 3 attacks on them. The following is gonna tell you which order you should use your attacks.

THENTHENTHEN

By this time the weakest champion should be downed and your ready to attack another champ.

But if that sequence doesnt down the champ after you use your Twilight Shroud your probably gonna need more energy so you useand this should bring it back up in order for you to use

Hopefully this guide will help viewers become a better Akali and intrest anyone else into using her. Thank you for your support.
