So me and my brother were trying to figure out a good lane combo to use on that pesky bottom lane. I was trying out Blitzcrank one day and realized that he would make an awesome pair with Alistar. So this has become a laning/duo guide for new or experienced summoners =D.

*Please NOTE: This duo does work for 5v5 but I don't advise it for 3v3 unless you are a premade and have a good ranged(AP) carry with you.

Basically with these builds the objective is to be able to control teamfights/ganks with Blitz and Ali's abilities and items. Also to limit the enemy's ability to escape all-the-while surviving onslaughts of being focused down by the enemy team.

Let's start with Alistar. His main weakness is that he sucks up a lot of mana the way I play him so definitely have to have mana regen somewhere in his build. So I decided on one of the lesser runes for mana regen -- Greater Glyph of Scaling Mana Regeneration these aren't the best but, I wanted the seals untapped so that I can use Greater Seal of Vitality to make Alistar beefy for late game. I also take Greater Mark of Desolation for minion kills and for use with my ulti. Finally I take Greater Quintessence of Health for some nice health all throughout the game. As you can see above late game you will be quite a beefy support/tank.

Now we look at Blitzcrank. Blitz can be built a number of ways from what I have seen during my research but, he can do a lot of damage with his items (by way of Power Fist/ Sheen) and also have good survivability with items (by way of stacking mana for his passive). So I just decided to build him much the same as Alistar with one exception, I took Greater Quintessence of Desolation for that extra damage on his Power Fist.
