Introduction
Like with the runes I stack armor, but with the items I like to keep the armor, health and magic resist gains about as equal as I can. Obviously getting the speed boots is most definitely one of the first things you acquire. I like getting Warmog's Armor next due to the factor the giant health bonus you get through farming, and the health regeneration almost makes me not need to heal as much. Next is Force of Nature, a must have in my opinion due to the health regeneration and the magic resist, I find this lovely piece of armor in almost every single Alistar build. Next up is Frozen Mallet, woot more health and I can make enemies slower for either a kill or an assist. Thornmail, woot armor and I can return fire those attacks from minions and champions to give me a little bit of an edge. And finally if your game lasts long enough or you get a lot of gold Banshee's Veil, woot health AND magic resist plus a save from stuns and some CC?!?! Boo yah!
This is a skill sequence I adopted from Unareyal's build "Alistar the Pure tank". So the credit is for him. I really like his build but I warped it around to my liking, keeping his skill sequence. If you want to check out his build go to http://www.mobafire.com/league-of-legends/build/alistar-the-pure-tank-99577. It is a really good build and would suggest it to players who find my build lacking in the area of Alistar they like.
I LOVE Sprint, I can get away from people quick, chase after runners and get to teammates quickly with it. I also ADORE Teleport on ever character I play, the idea of getting anywhere at the right moment to help a teammate is appealing to me. But I believe that the Summoner Spell's are the players preference and I'd suggest you use what you enjoy, if you don't like mine.
And finally the Pros and Cons of Alistar.
Pros:
- ultimate that makes you a tank what ever way you build him
- can control team fights a lot
- awesome chaser(with this build)
- can take out towers
- stun ( Pulverize, Headbutt)
- heal( Triumphant Roar)
Cons:
- takes time to get used to last hitting
- not the strongest tank

I appreciate you taking the time to review my build and possible utilize it. I do ask that you do not down vote my build unless you have tried the build in a couple games and had no luck. When it comes down to it this is my personalized play style as Alistar. Have a nice day :D
