Pros / Cons
Cons: Can be soft late game with out your ulti up.
Needs alot of regen to win lanes.
So, you wanna play some Alister?
Well if you want to be able to half health someone with 2 spells and be able to heal yourself as much as your little heart wants then this is the build for you. I will show you when and what to build as well as give you some tips to play the champ as I build him.

Runes. I see more people building with alot of AP and maybe some spell pen for Alister. This is a strong way to play him don't get me wrong but I feel that going lighter on the AP but also picking up some flat HP quints for some beefieness along with alot of regen to keep this cow in lane works over all better.
Masteries. So for masteries you are reinforcing yourself as a bully in lane. With ignite and flash even pushed to there tower the person(s) you are laneing against are going to think twice before the mess with you. I will talk about this later but a big point of this build is killing people at and under there towers.
On to items. Starting Doran's rings will give you everything you need into mid game. More regen is nice to keep up your harassment the HP and AP are all and all good stats to have.
The first time you have you want to at least have enough for a second Doran's and boots.
After that it's time to get sheen. This is going to be for goal the second time you back.
After that you can farm untill you can get Giants belt (or a blasting wand) Or just go right on to boots five.
Other then that stick to the build and you'll have a strong all around game.
NOTE: you want to have more AP then AD before you buy lichbane. NEVER buy lichbane before Rylai's

So, your job is to poke you opponent(s) as much as you can. You can do this in a few ways
- if someone behind creeps Headbutt that fool.
- If you want to put more hurt on hit him with a Pulverize as soon as the headbutt hits
Make sure to do this before they fly back. If done right you'll hit someone for a ton of burst and they will be tossed up in the air
for you to run back behind creeps
- If someone (like a AD champ) is next to you. Hit them with a Pulverize and headbutt that fool away
With the way I run this champ and the low manacost of your heal you can spam it on cooldown so if you get low in lane back up them them push and heal yourself up.
Alot of your kills are going to be under towers. In lane it is hard for you not to hit and AOE creeps down. So this is how you play it.
- Keep your poke going even if it means getting hit by a tower once (you can heal it back)
- Wait for them to get low
- Pop your ulti and diver.
- Open with the Q W combo
- If they are low ignite them and watch as they die
- If not then heal yourself up and do it again
Remember you do have flash to get away safe if things don't go as planned.
Most of this can be used no matter what lane you are in or who you are up against. Your you brain though. Don't do anything dumb and keep on farming. You are going to win a lane by waiting for someone to mess up and making them pay for it. No by rushing into anything.
Do your best to keep people zoned and know your limits.
