Pure AP

because this build is for a pure ability power, you can use this for other AP carries as well, fiddlesticks and ryze work well on this build as well. i just use annie because she is my main and this build was made with her in mind. ive also found that with the new items this build works extremely well for ziggs too.

Lore

In the time shortly before the League, there were those within the sinister city-state of Noxus who did not agree with the evils perpetrated by the Noxian High Command. The High Command had just put down a coup attempt from the self-proclaimed Crown Prince Raschallion, and a crack down on any form of dissent against the new government was underway. These political and social outcasts, known as the Gray Order, sought to leave their neighbors in peace as they pursued dark arcane knowledge. The leaders of this outcast society were a married couple: Gregori Hastur, the Gray Warlock, and his wife Amoline, the Shadow Witch. Together they led an exodus of magicians and other intelligentsia from Noxus, resettling their followers beyond the Great Barrier to the northern reaches of the unforgiving Voodoo Lands. Though survival was a challenge at times, the Gray Order's colony managed to thrive in a land where so many others would have failed.

Years after the exodus, Gregori and Amoline had a child: Annie. Early on, Annie's parents knew there was something special about their daughter. At the age of two, Annie miraculously ensorcelled a shadow bear - a ferocious denizen of the petrified forests outside the colony - turning it into her pet. To this day she keeps her bear ''Tibbers'' by her side, often keeping him spellbound as a stuffed doll to be carried like a child's toy. The combination of Annie's lineage and the dark magic of her birthplace have given this little girl tremendous arcane power. It is this same girl who now finds herself as one of the most sought-after champions within the League of Legends - even by the city-state that would have exiled her parents had they not fled beforehand.

''Annie may be one of the most powerful champions ever to have fought in a Field of Justice. I shudder to think of her capabilities when she becomes an adult.'' - High Councilor Kiersta Mandrake

NEW ITEMS

ok ive changed around the items. the old build can be found on the second Annie on this team. however ive changed this build around a lot and it is now very workable and good. (ive also gotten alot better at using MOBA therefore PICTURES :D)

DORANS RINGi get two of these at the beginning, it gives you the much needed health + a lot of mana regen so youll be set with mana and you can spam all your spells all you want :P

from there its a preatty basic build to understand, the CORE items are rabadons deathcap and archangels staff, do that and your AP will shoot through the roof, i finish each game with an average of 550 AP, because of all the bonus mana from archangels staff turning into AP and also that effect is increased by 30% because of rabadons deathcaps passive. after that i go will of the ancients for more AP plus the spell vamp for more sustain in lanes and team fights.

LICH BANE
this item is a MUST its bonus mana drastically adds to more AP through archangels staff plus more ability power straight from it and the magic resist and movement speed upgrade help great for running from enemy champions. also after using an ability your basic attacks will gain about 550-650 damage and that can do some SERIOUS damage alone then add your abilities on top of that and you are a killing machine.

Rune Build

i know what your thinking, "wtf is this guy doing with this rune combination it doeskin make any sense" well your right. going ability power per level on EVERY rune is kinda a waste and i know that however the extra ability power that you gain by level 18 becomes super massive and your nuke is able to kill tanks no problem. this is the only reason i do this for huge ability power. however you can switch these around to your hearts content. to be truthful i dont even have this rune set up when i play XD i just put it here for wishful thinking if you will. however if you choose to do this build it can be extremely rewarding ;P

Champion Spells

try to use ignite whenever possible (even if the enemy champion is at half health or even full health). this is because you get bonus ability power while it is on cool down and overtime it ends up doing more damage with annies spells than the actual spell does. also i choose clarity as my other spell because i find that early game while harassing with disintegrate it helps out considerably. although you may switch this out for a different spell if you want.

EDIT: ive changed the items and so you get a lot of mana regen off the bat and clarity is no longer needed, ive switched this out for flash because it can come in very handy.

Items

you might notice i don't go for catalyst the protector ever, instead i swap it out for will of the ancients, this is because i feel that the spell vamp paired with annies disintegrate completely outweighs the 250 health you get on each level witch then stops at level 18. plus when you drop tibbers and completely devastate everyone with your nuke you can get quite a bit of health back.

as a side note, while playing as Annie your health is very squishy, as such every time you go back to buy items heal up or do whatever, if your money permits it, i strongly suggest that you buy at least 1 health potion.

also an additional note on archangels staff and rabadons deathcap. the order may be switched if you like, some people like the added damage straight away, however archangels staff takes roughly 15-20 minutes before its effect is completely stacked. and then added onto rabadons death cap the resulting ability power can be extremely devastating. that is why i get archangels staff first because then i have more time to stack its effect before hand and then later on in the game you can be a complete boss and kill everyone. EDIT: i made tear of the goddess the second item to get because it gives you more mana to play with in the early game and then its usually fully charged by the time you get archangels staff.

Masteries

in utility you can spend your last point in runic affinity if you want, although i almost never go for any buffs as Annie (i do at later levels but by then you can just get it so often this isn't needed, considering the spell vamp helps you out a great deal more in earlier levels)

EDIT: yea i realize i sound very stupid saying what i said above, however its a route you can go if you want however in recent games and such ive been going for blue buff alot more often and this mastery is EXTREAMLY helpful.

Skill Sequence

generally i start with incinerate and spam it 5 times at the beginning to charge my stun. then ill go for disintegrate whenever possible while when its not possible go for incinerate, tibbers whenever possible and then molten shield when everything else is done.

EDIT: get molten shield at level 4, this helps because with it you can get another charge for your passive and that can sometimes be invaluable. also it is a very good defensive spell, it "reflects" a percentage of basic damage you take back to the person who did it. in short master yi 2.0 attack speed no life steal killed himself while attacking me with this shield on, i did nothing but auto attack no spells XD

Riot Tips

-Storing a stun for use with her ultimate can turn the tide of a team fight.
-Striking killing blows on minions with Disintegrate enables Annie to farm extremely well early in the game.
-Molten Shield is a good spell to cast to work up to Annie's stun, so sometimes it's beneficial to grab at least 1 rank in it early.
