one note though: double doran rings don't work that much well on AP varus, you'd better replace the second doran ring with pure health from Ruby crystal, or just something else.

Don't shortsell your build so much. It just makes people turn off from reading your guide. It is a guide, right?

This is an interesting looking guide and I can see this actually working except for the skill-cap required to maximise the AP damage of Varus.

I would say that the biggest weakness is the lack of any magic resist except for the Abyssal Mask and Lich Bane in the *situational* section. Maybe consider swapping the Sorc shoes out for Merc Treads or maybe consider a Wit's End in your build somewhere. It should combo alright with your W's passive, though you may not like it because it subtracts from your AP a bit.

Anyway, should be a fun way to play Varus, though not really completely viable in competitive, like you say.

Maybe if you got a Mejai's Soulstealer rolling, it could actually do well! XD

If you add Deathfire Grasp in core item, your AP Varus will be much more harmful.

I dont like the thought of ap varus because he has poor ap ratio's. Your guide is well formated and you explained everything pretty well, I wont vote cuz im not sure if you can use this build unless its in unranked non-draft matches.

actually, no its not. 100% AP ratio as an ULTIMATE for champ with two AP scaling skills is bad. and his ultimate isnt even that great, morgana's does much better and wins teamfights by either destroying them or making them all break up.

and his E isnt a good skill, it's slow and has a small radius.

and if u think you can survive a fight while autoing as an AP varus, your wrong. you have low range and your autos barealy do anything compared to AP kog for example

Actually, his AP ration on R is great, and it's low on W because elsewhere it'd be op (auto-attack with magic damage scaling great, trololo)

...His AP Ratios are ****, if you believe that this build is somewhat good then you're a moron...
