this usually depends on the length of the game, some dominion games are under 10 mins, and I have had one run well over 25 mins. I would say that if you go with 2 sanguine blades, 2 phantom dancers, and an infinity edge (not in that order), you will probably not get to them by the end of the average game.

On the opposite side, if I get a lightbringer to find stealth units, or a last whisper/kitae bloodrazer to stop heavy armor users, I almost always finish my build. In a Dominion game, most of the time, I will accumulate about 14k gold total (which includes the starting 1.4k) and I find any item build which includes most items costing an average of over 2.5k for the final item (except 1k for boots), I can usually get 5/6 of them by the end of a game.

Hope this helps =)

what i mean by completed is: in a game have you ever have to buy all of your items?

I'm not sure what you mean by completed, but yes, the build is complete.

I will come back to it later to put up a few different builds item and rune wise, but I have discussed the importance of using speed or c/d redux runes vs ad or arpen. Additionally, the items bought should be based on your enemy team, stealth teams get the lightbringer, phantom dancer keeps your speed higher, last whisper for heavy armor, etc.

The cost of the items is never really an issue, and assuming you hold your points and deny enemy kills and caps, your money moves at a steady pace and buying items is not really an issue in dominion.
