Fair enough, listick02. i do have a tendency to play more aggressive than i should. but if i'm on top of my game it usually helps. oh and the 30 MR from the chalice is in my opinion great because i get it SO early that most of the AP champs on the other team haven't worked up the Ap to really neutralize it. But i am still looking for ways to improve my build, and i do agree that the 30 MR during late game doesn't make much of a difference.

I actually think that your doing something wrong with your gamestyle cause skarner is such an easy liner if you play safe. ofc you will be with less MR (30 less def isnt that much of a deal tho) but also great solos like irelia and yorick would suck if you don't play safe. It all depends on your style, maybe this build is the one that suites you in the best way

Just tried the Tear, it was the worst choice i made ever. I didn't have the defense early game to stay alive and enjoy that crazy mana boost.

I like Chalice because it has this nice passive that increase your overall regen by 1% for every 1% of your mana depleted.plus it give the MR. And also i haven't tried the tear yet, although i plan to. And Frozen Heart if for the CD, and the 99 armor, and the slow effect. Although i do agree that this isn't a perfect straight through hybrid. its more of an Ap with a little this an that on the side. and actually the phantom dancer, while it seems out of place helps alot due to skarners tiny q range and his passive. i dunno i just love phantom dancer.

I can't figure out why you go for Chalice of Harmony and Frozen Heart: Tear Of The Goddess grant you a very strong early game and a solid mana pool late on. If your picking the Frozen Heart for CD purpose, you may consider stinger istead and, thanks to the AS bonus, avoid that terrible phantom dancer wich wont help you in anyway in a AP build. Indeed, i said AP because i can't consider your build Hybrid: you don't have nearly enough AD to be efficient as hybrid so why don't you go straight for AP?

Note: I'm looking over other builds and will likely try and meld them with my own, thus if i find an over-arching build i prefer, i will update this ASP.
