The problem with your statement that I disagree with is that there is this stigma that if I don't put up some sort of super redundant thing going over abilities or some Font then the Guide isn't in depth. Also I challenge people to test for themselves the numbers and differences in damage so that they can understand things for themselves. See Normally I just provide the raw test numbers but people need to see for themselves and do this themselves that way in the future they can always learn how to test how effective the max/min of a combo or item spikes are.
I even provide things to her Combo and why it doesn't work consistently all while giving you a new combo that is easier and just as effective. I mean I would say I did a good job in not being over analytical here, getting right to the point and giving the Meat to the Hungry Players. What good is 20 Paragraphs when they only need 3?
I've offered things in a different way, instead of trying to win you with eye candy I provide you raw stats via Game Win Time and why the Current Meta builds of Qiyana do not work and this is exactly why my build does work.
I'm obviously cut differently, I don't see the point of telling people things they already know just for the sake of trying to make it look pretty. If I can give the facts as to why and how and make it effective then that's what I want.
Also I want to stress that being Simplistic doesn't make something Wrong or less than something else. We have this weird stigma where we over compensate in hopes of validating ourselves, you don't prove something right by first giving people things they already know; you do it by showing why your guide/build theory works and why people should use it.
When I talk about being less basic it's about the Build and the Runes and how different and breaking it is compared to everything else. Also, if everyone is using flashy stuff then that becomes "basic" really quick so to stand out a simplistic approach is how you do it.
Always look at Winrate by Game time and how Item Spikes change it, with Qiyana for example her Winrate doesn't really move until the end game which means her build/runes or even the playstyle is actually pretty wrong but because so many people use it with very very very limited people finding success it's one of those things where people trick themselves into believing that it's the proper way to play.
For Qiyana I did the same thing basically, I looked at her Winrate and Winrate with Runes (it's pretty bad cept in high elo) and then I just looked at how her Damage is executed and for reference I did look through the Chinese Qiyana that MidBeast reviewed just to kinda get hints as to the differences between why that person is able to execute and snowball on demand and everyone else isn't, I mean the majority of players (even high elo) are lucky to break 50% on qiyana and from there I just min/max Items and Runes via Practice Tool so yeah and that's basically it though.
Her setup just doesn't work for the majority of players, so either she has to get buffed to the point where her damage covers up the weaknesses / bad habits of the player or her build has to change to make it so the player can actually get that high damage that she is capable of.
OFC anytime you suggest something new to people they get really defensive and change in any game (especially league) where most of the players aren't really theorycrafting or even bothering to look at metrics at all, they just wait for someone else to tell them what to do and that's the part that's hardest because even if my build is better imo there is just that thing where I'm just a nobody in this community and so because of that people are reluctant because they themselves don't have any knowledge of metrics/theory they just copy and paste what they see someone else do.
In other games it's not that bad tho but league is kind of a extreme example
When we look at the metrics for qiyana, well she doesn't really spike at all in terms of Winrate at least not until 40 minutes which is basically full 6 item territory which is why I knew that the build wasn't working and how I came to the conclusion people weren't snowballing even though her lv 3 is great, her 6 is great and she always does good on most items; she should be having a similar sort of winrate/gametime close to or SLIGHTLY less than Pantheon, but at 40min she should be higher than him. So he was kind of the measuring stick i used for her; since he has some similarities with toolkits (obv excluding ulti's) and ratios (almost all the AD Assassins have super similar ratios on abilities but their R's are usually dramatically different in %). The biggest thing I wanted people to realize is that you don't have to try and force yourself to be some insane Chinese Qiyana Main who can get Electrocute's Max Damage and min.max damage perfectly everytime cause it's just not realistic. Honestly I think my Build only does like maybe 20-30damage less in full combo which is actually quite a bit since that means you still kill with Ignite if they were at 60-65% but people love to copy "the best"
