I'll totally consider some more MR late game, and lich bana probably right after I finished my archangel :)
I'll let ya know how it worked out!
Note that Powerfist does extra AD damage, so Lich Bane's worth is just an add on, instead of a multiplier.
Hope it helps.
1. You have no Magic Resistance.
2. Not really much AP either... your defense becomes your strongest point, but without cooldowns, your utility is low and really offers not much to the battle as most people will ignore you for last. Not trying to sound negative because this can be considered as balanced.
3. Most experienced Blitzcrank players offer the rationale that he is not meant to be AP because apart from his ult and grab (which is not meant to be used as a nuke), building AP is simply much too costly due to the nature of his role in the lanephase.
As an example build of how i previously built my AP Blitzcrank, the main items i took were Lich Bane, Zhonya's Hourglass, and Rylai's Crystal Scepter.
Compared to your items, dont you think that at least Lich Bane is a neccesary item for AP blitzcrank?
So, taking Thornmail out of the build leaves a void that needs a replacement item. Some items to consider for this would be atma's impaler (even though the build is AP you can benefit this way from all that hp and get armour and crit at the same time), trinity force, will of the ancients (auras increase overall team damage output, especially since blitz fights best when with his allies anyways), Zhonya's Hourglass (situational only, but it works with the goal of the build), Sunfire Cape (the hp/armour complement nicely and it gives 35 more magic dps in aoe). Some possibilities that give you that magic resist are Abyssal Scepter (good for squishy enemy teams), Banshee Veil (the shield is great, and the mana and hp it gives synergise perfectly), or a Force of Nature if you need 1 item to provide all of your magic resist (the regen, %hp regen, and move speed are great too). One more to consider if you don't need much more defence at this point in a game is Lich Bane. The AP, magic resist, mana, and crazy awesome proc all work super great.
Just some things to consider. Hope this helps too.
Hope the feedback helps.
Any suggestions are welcome and appreciated.
