@ Digyt: Rylai's is not the only great item he's missing. While Rylai is great for the slow, it also adds a nice portion of health. Following this build, nuking you will be easier than cutting through butter (not frozen butter ofc!). Without Rod of Ages, Banshee's Veil or some sort of survivability item you'll simply not last long enough imo.

Also, Brand's passive scales with magic pen. Without more magic pen you won't get the full potentiel out of your passive mid-/endgame and tanks/anyone smart enough to buy a bit of magic resistance will simply laugh at you.

Your first big item should be rylai's. it is just too good for brand not to get it. Also, pillar of fire is far better for harass then conflag and does more dmg. If you're bad with pillar of fire then i guess i can see why you would get conflag.
