Good guide but why does the itemisation part still mention righteous glory? That item hasn't been in for a while.

I love this guide, very good.
My only request is that the items be updated to the new season due to the item changes.

nice. Also do you think that there are any times/matchups that its worth to max your w 2nd so that you can jump ore often and give more armor and mr to your teamates?

Good question! With the most recent patch being 13.3 - Braum's W has received a significant buff, almost doubling the Armour and MR he gives teammates he jumps to! Nevertheless, the most vital parts of Braum's kit are his ability to stun (aided by his Q) and his ability to completely negate projectiles (done by his E) - therefore they will always be the most valuable abilities to level up first. His W jump is most useful as an engagement/disengagement tool during the laneing phase, then it becomes not as useful as his other abilities when we enter mid/late game. Hope this helps! :)

Just 2 more question friend and you'll make my day. sorry for bothering you man with these question its just only for the sake of self improvement overall when im playing braum .

*first question: this one been on my mind for while regarding approach velocity vs. cosmic insight and why you suggest cosmic over other one. Just personal curiosity and want to know your perspective for choosing it.

* Second question : which is better having magic resist or hp runes in the 3rd shard of the rune better on braum since u removed double armour instead with hp. is Hp more effective on braum in early game ?

Thank you again for your time

No Worries! Glad to help where I can :)

1. Exhaust, Flash, and Locket of the Iron Solari are some of Braum’s most important utilities. 18 Summoner Spell haste translates to 15.25% CDR, which means you are decreasing your exhaust cooldown from 210 seconds to 178 seconds and your Flash cooldown from 300 seconds to 254 seconds. The 10 Item haste translates to 9.1% CDR, decreasing your Locket of the Iron Solari cooldown from 90 seconds to 81.8 seconds. These are HUGE cuts in cooldown! The pressure you can create on your opponent by having the flash and exhaust cooldown advantage is too crucial to miss out on. Whoever has this rune will always be advantaged in-game if the opponent doesn’t also pick it. Although you could argue that approach velocity gives more movement speed when CC’ing, which allows for more efficient engage, it really isn’t necessary, as the 2 second 70% slow from Braum’s Q is more than enough to allow you to approach your target and confirm the stun without the rune.
In summary, the advantage of having 30 seconds off your exhaust cooldown and 50 seconds off your flash cooldown is too valuable in creating pressure and peeling your allies across the whole game, you cannot miss out on this rune!

2. When it comes to picking MR vs Armour vs Health, it really doesn’t matter; it is more of a situational choice. For example, if you are laning against a Veigar Morgana bot, taking double MR is perfect and enables you to tank for your ADC, whereas going against a Draven Senna bot means having double armour is necessary to survive in lane. I normally go for 1 armour and 1 health rune as it gives you a general amount of sustainability in lane, especially against bot lanes that mix an ADC and magic damage support. The reason I specifically pick health over MR in these situations as MR only helps when tanking enemy abilities… but if you play safe and dodge… you won’t need any MR since no abilities are damaging you haha!

Hope this all helps, but I must say, I think it is really good that you are asking all these questions for self-improvement, but small factors such as whether you take MR and Health are not the most important factors that help you climb ranked, especially between gold-plat-diamond elos. In these elos, general game knowledge and strategic thinking is the most valuable resource you have in climbing, your general game mechanics outweigh any decisions you make with your runes. The more games you play, the more you will improve! So don’t get caught up in all these nitty-gritty details, have fun and enjoy the games :P Good luck on the fields of justice! :D

Hey man i have a question since i play braum alot. what do you think is more effective? having attack speed early or ability haste? because i like the new buff they gave him on his e cd and r cd got lowered so, i thought having early ability haste makes braum's kite more efficient (block more e and r more etc..).. Just curious and want to know your opinion since u play braum too. congrats on getting to Diamond too.

Hey buddy, thank you for the message!
This is a really good question that is debated a lot.

I personally believe that when talking about rune shards, the extra attack speed is much more valuable than cooldown because:
1. 8 Ability haste equates to 7.4% CDR, so when talking about Braum's Q - all this does is decrease the cooldown from 10 seconds to 9.26 seconds. Similarly, with Braum's E - all this does is decrease the cooldown from 16 seconds to 14.8 seconds. This 1-second reduction in cooldown in the early levels will not impact the game as much as your own game knowledge and intuition.
2. Ability haste is non-impactful to Braum until we start to reach the 20 ability haste (16.7% CDR) mark, and this is actually reached by buying only one item – Locket of the Iron Solari. Braum’s end build leaves him with 50 ability haste (33.3% CDR), which is more than enough for you to be able to protect your team efficiently in any team fight. The extra 8 ability haste at the end of the game increases CDR from 33.3% to 36.5% – This is insignificant, hence it is not viable when speaking about the early game or late game. (Basically, since ability haste is designed to produce a curved graph which plateaus, attack speed will always be more viable as it is designed to produce a linear curve which doesn’t plateau).
3. As previously mentioned, Braum’s build has ability haste incorporated within it, whereas it has no attack speed items, hence the early attack speed rune shard is so vital for the complete Braum build.
4. The extra early attack speed means that you have the ability to create heavy pressure as you can stun targets using your passive much more efficiently than if you had taken CDR. This pressure, if utilised correctly in lane, doesn’t equate to the 1-second cooldown reduction.

To keep a long story short, in truth, it may come down to what the matchup is; maybe picking early ability haste against a bot lane with heavy projectile damage, in comparison to picking early attack speed when the enemy bot lane is more melee heavy.
However, statistically speaking, you are better off going early attack speed for a general higher win rate.
I hope this makes sense and helps you in your future games! Let me know if you have any more queries! :D

Noted. I appreciate your honest answer regarding this topic since its been on my mind for a while. perhaps ill give the attack speed shard a try in normal games and see how it feels.
