Just wanted to see what would happen if I were to put up a guide on this.

This build guide is for Alistar, for dominion only. He truly is the best at CC but if you can get a good enough team together you will dominate the top point and prevent many troublesome characters that seem to be too op diving into a turret without seeing a threat of tower or champ death. I recommend a team that will let you go top, because at bot early game you will be mostly useless due to the high cost of mana for each of his skills.

These are generic tank runes I have with the added AP to give Alistar a bit more of a boost when starting at lvl 3 in the top lane. It will also add to his tankiness and how much his skills will damage and his e skill's healing abilities.

Masteries are aimed toward full tank, and CD.

These items are the most important. Getting a prospector's item in the beginning game is something me and my friends always recommend because of it's crazy stats for it's cost. There is a reason why you cant stack these items... so use them well. Items are based on tank items with some little things to give your cow a little bit of a fear factor. Since dominion is very team dependent I decided to build things that would give not only me but my team benefits. Playing selfishly isn't the way to go and will just lead to you getting aimed or the other team not caring about you and just blazing through your other teammates and saving you for last since you cant do anything. Build what feels appropriate during the game as to what kind of damage you are taking or if their team is AD heavy or AP heavy you may need to change to a thornmail, or if they lack CC you can go ahead and get Ionian shoes. To tell the truth I have never gotten a full build down because the games have never lasted that long to get the rylai's secptor. But by that time the first part of the item build will make you tanky enough and if you can gauge your opponents well then you but items accordingly.

since you start at lvl 3 get one in each, and see how the game is going. If the other team is trying to cap your top in groups or are being singled out changing up how you lvl your q and w will help. q if they are grouping up, and w if they are being singled out.

ghost is a must since it's important to get to lane efficiently and in order to stay together as a team in the beginning is vital to capturing top and keeping it to bleed the crystal. The other skill, is heal. Heal since it's upgrade during season two has given it a much better ratio and a great way to keep your team alive at top during that first and other fore coming fights that occur at top.
