Please don't get me wrong, this build works if you are able to farm well in the laning phase. But if you screwed farming up (especially new players will from time to time), you will have trouble imo. Next game I'll try to get the situational items right after Giant's Belt + Mercury's Treads.
If they're physical, Heart of Gold -> Randuin's Omen.
If they're magical, Force of Nature or Banshee's Veil.
If they're mixed, Aegis of the Legion.
After that I'll finish Warmog's Armor etc.

ahh..i see your point...i like to inter mix the boots and warmongs...sometimes ill take randuins ohmen or whatever the game calls for...this is just to show that this build has been proven. as for the overpowered bit..this is mainly for 5vs5...in 3's its just way too costly.

Strength of the Spirit mastery gives health regen based on the amount of mana you have. Although you don't profit from it since you have energy, you took the mastery. That's what he wanted to point out. My other question would be why you don't the full Awareness mastery?

Well, I've already tried out rushing Warmog's and I didn't notice being 'overpowered' at all. It did take quite long to get it. Either I got crushed because I lacked or I got ignored by the opponent team. If I'm ignored while carrying Aegis, I'll at least support my team.

On the one hand you want to get health to make Ki Strike stronger. On the other hand you prefer dodge over armor, because dodge increases your survivability against physical autoattacks?! Wouldn't armor do the same job while not weaken his Ki Strike?

ok..first of all..if you have played shen this way you would realize that when you get giants belt you become very over powered compared to the opponents your laning against...and as for dodge...well your a tank...your job will be to taunt them and take dmg...dodge will add to the time you can stand your ground...im not really sure how you think getting hit over and over so ki strike goes off again helps your overall survivabilty...

im not sure what your looking at..iv added nothing for ap....although his feint does add ap to the total it absorbs..

Why would you ever get Dodge Seals or Ninja's Tabi? You know that dodge weakens his passive you're relying on?!

Anyways you're quite vulnerable until you bought some resistance. The problem is that your build is too expensive and Shen just isn't that great of a farmer.

Why are you using strength of spirit? thats worthless for Shen, He doesn't even use mana.
