2 good players with average farmed champs always trump 1 good over-farmed and 1 silly under-farmed support like your Soraka or some Jannas I've seen.

Your build sucks, your play style sucks... and my team will wipe out anyone who plays with that kind of Soraka without much hassle.

Nuff said.

Someone may be singlehandedly costing their team the game. And that's the support that has more than 20 CS and 0 kills.

Please realize that your "2 average farm" heroes beat "1 super farm" hero in low ELO. In competitive LoL, your "2 average farm" heroes will cost you the game. And guess who made the lane "2 average farm" instead of "1 super farm"? The support.

2 good CHAMPIONS with equal farm > 1 full farm 1 no farm champion.

Soraka isn't a good champion, your argument is inherently flawed in that you assume soraka scales as well with items as other champions do.

Soraka has the best base heals in the game, and when you get gp5's and a kindlegem and maybe a spirit visage, she's tanky enough that if you focus her you lose, and if you don't focus her you lose.

Currently there are two real clear ways to win a game.

You can win passively, and you can win aggressively.

If you sit in lane and farm until 30 minutes when you have all your big items, and then you force team fights, you are winning passively.

If you harrass your enemy out of lane, and push your lane to their tower, or zone them out of exp range, split push, and force them to fight at your towers, then you are being aggressive.

The problem with the aggressive playstyle is that it requires a much higher level of play, and is much riskier than the "farm to win" approach.

Your playstyle isn't bad, it's just unreliable.

No, but you cannot tell me fortify heal with all ap is good. You just cannot. There is no argument to be made over it.

Why? Because you can't play it on high ELO while others can?... again, either all others are really bad or I'm really lucky right? Because I can't possibly just be a good AP heal Soraka can't I?

I remember the first ranked I did with my mates, we did NO ward control (not a little, not a smidge, NONE AT ALL). We were being called noobs from about 5 minutes into the game... Guess what happened? They got destroyed. Why!?

Because we don't play european ***** metagame... and since you don't want to apologise for being rude, deal with this... Your way of playing sickens me, and more people that think the way I do (no I'm not a lone nut). You don't play support, you play coward.
Nothing else, non-farming supports? LOL... my Soraka would destroy yours in a blink of an eye... and that's what I want. But you seem to think that AP is just to make her into a heal bot, that just proves how inexperienced you are. Until you deliver a 600AP infuse on a squishy support on the other side and see the terror in his eyes you don't know what Soraka is capable of.

So +250hps on all your teammates (500) on you during the whole course of the game multiple times isn't good?! Early to mid-game it's literally more lifesaving than astral blessing. Countless times I've been hated on chat because that heal drops right on the last second and allows my teammates to pick up the kills instead of dying.

Another of your mistakes, I never said Fortify... I don't use fortify, I only stood up for Heal. Fortify I don't care about.
And since you want something constructive or else it's not worthy of your leetness and you won't comment here it goes.

Soraka (Heal/Flash) 0/21/9
Items - Doran's / Mejai / Lucidity Boots / Rabadon / Morello's / Spirit Visage / Rabadon

This isn't the purchase order, that varies from game to game.

This is my Soraka... that can go 12/0/15 playing mid... yeah, mid Soraka FTW! Catches everyone by surprise. Although I usually lane ofc.
And yes, I farm a LOT! So booohooo my lane partner doesn't get all the gold so what?

Despite your snarky remarks and general *******ness to anyone that disagrees with you, you should respect the 0/21/9 AP Soraka because it's always viable and it's just better.
I can prove it to you anytime you want...
I actually tried your guide (not my style), that's why I voted positive ... I believe in hard work and I respect the opinions of others. But you are such a presumptious *******, and you talk with such arrogance that I can't be objective anymore.

I tried to be nice... but you trolled too much.

Your build sucks, your play style sucks... and my team will wipe out anyone who plays with that kind of Soraka without much hassle.

And might I add that I'm quite sucessful as a support healer. And I do no ward control whatsoever.

So what summoner does heal replace?

Clairvoyance? A must.
Flash? A must.

And why take heal? Heal does less than level 5 astral blessing with 30x the cooldown. There's just no need for it.

No warding... Just, no comment. Next you're going to say you farm creeps to get your deathcap earlier.

You cannot tell me if I duo queue with you at 1600+ ELO, and you pick Heal + Fortify Soraka with 0/21/9 masteries, you're going to do well in the game.

Infact, you probably wouldn't get to pick Soraka if you said that.

Quoted:
Anyway, until you learn to respect the opinions

If you made some legitimate concern like "Well why do you take flash clairvoyance? Why not ghost as it has mobility for longer duration" or "why don't you take heart of gold before philo stone as the early health makes you bulkier in lane and you won't upgrade it until towards end of game" - those would be opinions worth making an argument for. But 0/21/9 AP Heal Fority Soraka isn't an opinion I need to respect. It's like asking me to respect someone taking revive clarity and going middle as mundo with starting mana manipulator.

I've had like 12 people PM me saying that I need heal and foritfy on Soraka. They tell me it's bad because I have no AP. It's just depressing to see that because everytime I try to tell them that their build is a bad build they say I'm mean. Truth is, it's bad. I can't say it any other way. AP Soraka, Heal Soraka, Fortify Soraka and no warding Soraka is bad.

Anyway.

Assuming Support + Ranged AD bot lane, though, heal at level 1 is preferred so that you can harass right away and put your mana on regen. Especially if you have a good harasser like Corki, Vayne, or Caitlyn.

It depends. If you're laning with someone who has a harass skill longer than their AA range, like Ashe or Ezreal (although you'd usually solo as him), taking Infuse first allows you to strengthen that skill harass by adding your own damage in. It also helps stop their lane harassing you early with their skills. I suppose it's preference, really. I would have said Caitlyn, but Caitlyn will always start with traps to defend her lane / team at the start, so she has no problem getting to 2.

Kudos for knowing level 1s though!

About your two cents: Level 1 Teamfights, you need infuse to block escape summoners or prevent them going into your team (i.e alistar flash pulv your team). It is almost impossible to die in your lane at level 1 - unless you get 4 - 5 man ganked early on (which has happened in competitive play). In that situation, heal wouldn't have saved you, only your summoners.

You can start with heal if you're just going to lane, but I like to take infuse first - even straight to lane - to instantly show I'm not afraid of them and I will push them back. The only time I would definately take heal is if you have a champion who can take them out of lane as the lane starts - i.e pantheon. Level 1 Pantheon does high damage but is vulnerable, but having that early heal counters that, and allows him to just THROW them out of lane, or throw them back so you outlevel them.

You're right about level 1 fights. I do that as well. I mean it's like how I sometimes enter lane at level 1 with Nevermove on Swain or Sanguine Pool on Vladimir.

Assuming Support + Ranged AD bot lane, though, heal at level 1 is preferred so that you can harass right away and put your mana on regen. Especially if you have a good harasser like Corki, Vayne, or Caitlyn.

Thing you have to realize is that this is MOBAFire; 99% of your readers head straight to lane. I don't think most of the people will make use of your infuse level 1 even in lane. Kudos for knowing level 1s though!

So it's your way or nothing else?
I wasn't saying your build doesn't work... I just mentioned that I don't agree with completely discarding (like you did) the healing power of Soraka.

Saying that she builds AP just for heals is also incorrect, as I said... spam starcall / silence are very useful in a teamfight (which puts her as a support healer).

I'm a lvl 30... I play Soraka for quite some time so I resent your statement that I should automatically be some low level noob just because I defend heal Soraka.
And might I add that I'm quite sucessful as a support healer. And I do no ward control whatsoever.

Maybe I'm just lucky... or all the others are really bad level 30's...

Anyway, until you learn to respect the opinions of others you'll never be any good at being a decent human being. So I'll improve on my game and you can go improve on that, fair deal?

Oh yeah, I had already voted positive on your guide even before commenting. So don't take every criticism as a flame just because they have a different perspective.

Gave you my two cents $439.82 already, and voted based on that.
(I'm not one to randomly downvote guides for no reason at all, and would be happy to change my vote if some changes were made)

Oh, no Six, I'm not caring about my score at all. It's not even troll downvotes - they are angry I "insulted" someone over "advice" they gave me, infact, if you even feel like reading:

http://www.mobafire.com/league-of-legends/forum/build-and-guide-discussion/will-review-for-food-i-will-read-your-guide-6053?page=21

I'm more annoyed because people prioritize their emotions over what it does for other people. Just people being selfish. I'm just trying to help people play Soraka like a high level player would - and understand why. It doesn't hurt me if they don't read this, it just hurts themselves if they only see AP Soraka builds.

Hey kid, I know you're a bit new to this, but you really shouldn't care about your score.

Before I archived my guide, I was like you, people who trolled downvotes made me angry; but what can you do, really? Just ignore the trolls and work to keep your guide the best it can be and most of the people who come here will upvote it.

By the way, my two cents; start heal first. Harassing can start as early as level 1, and if you aren't there to increase your harass or prevent opponent harass, you may lose your lane starting at level 1 and that disadvantage will snowball.
