Playing yuumi top, althought i want to congratulate you for the guide which is really nice and in depth, althought i would suggest watching jhoijhoi's guide on how to make a guide, to add some more bbcode, because then it would be an insane guide, i cant say that because you are adding one more ranged toplaner ;p Us toplaners are at your mercy!

Thanks for the input! As of now, I'm putting this guide in an indefinite 'defunct' status until I can find a way to make it work with the season 11 items, as the changes have not been kind to this build pathing. Once I can get this to function again, I will most certainly look into visually improving the guide.

I think there was a time when an enemy Yuumi had "Grasp of Undying" for a rune and my team started making fun of that and that is when I get startled, like, you never know, maybe it is op! And here I find it in your guide which seems to make sense.. I even tried it with Miss Fortune and it worked xd

If it were a Support Yuumi, they likely just forgot to put in the proper runes before the match began. This rune build is specific to Yuumi Top, and I don't recommend using
Grasp of the Undying for a traditional Yuumi Support, because it doesn't otherwise synergize well with her kit. Even so, thanks for reading the guide!

Dude you're absolutely insane but I respect your gall. As much as I'd love to try this myself, I have had too many bad experiences toplane to try it...

Thanks for the support! I strongly recommend playing ranged top laners to help get more accustomed to the role so that you can more easily transition into playing Yuumi Top. Quinn, Heimerdinger, and Teemo are all examples of fairly common ranged top laners, so playing about 5-10 matches with one of those should help you to get back into the role. As far as similarities go, Teemo might be the most relatively similar champion for training for Yuumi Top, but as I actually play Heimerdinger fairly well, I cannot actually attest to whether it is or not. If you have about a 40% or higher win/loss rate after your 5-10 matches after having not played much of top recently, I would say that you should at least try Yuumi Top just to see if you like it. I fully understand getting flamed for the choice, but just tell your teammates you're "limit-testing" and you should be fine. ;) Also, don't trust this build for item pathing yet. I'm still working out the kinks with it yet. Although this isn't actually in the guide, starting Refillable Potion + Sapphire Crystal and going for a Luden's Tempest early, then building Spellthief's Edge, Redemption, Ardent Censer, etc is proving to be a promising mage-support split build. In addition, the runes in the guide still appear to be valid outside of the health rune. As Warmog's is no longer a viable item for purchase due to the lack of tank-support Legendary class items, going for double-resist Armor or Magic Resistance may actually be more viable now, contrary to what it says in the guide. I have yet to test any true tank builds, so I will likely be doing so in the near future.

I've played top lane like. Three times. First I was trying out Poppy and had the misfortune of vsing a decent vladmir who refused to die, leading to my eventual death by ganks. The other two times I played poppy were for a 5v5 I was roped into. With better and more experienced players(I'm new to the game). It was an absolutely miserable time, getting bullied under tower and being so very frustrated by lack of skill and mechanical knowledge. I do wish to play top lane one day, but I'm too wary to go back yet. I will definitely try this when I do, though! (And thanks for the tips!)

Poppy is a fairly difficult champion to learn if you've never played top lane before. Garen and Darius are your bread-and-butter melee champions to learn when playing top, with the support equivalent being Lux, so they should be more user-friendly than Poppy is if you're just trying to learn top lane. Beyond that, Teemo is fairly easy to learn (albeit hard to master), so he should be your next champion to playtest before attempting Yuumi Top.
