Introduction
Hello this is my nautilus guide (my third guide)
Nautilus is a strong melee fighter if he gets ahead its over
Nautilus is a great pick for jungling and excells at dealing magic AoE damage
This is goong to be another guide covering a champion in 3v3.
He's also under apreciated not many people play him so its what makes him fun now since he's not so mainstream. Meaning not many people know how to counter him.
I like to take defensive masteries with nautiluse
I out points into Tenacious and Relentless hes already slow without cc so this will help
And a point in Honor Guard because nautilus is good at tanking
I also put a point in Veteran's Scars for the extra hp at level 1
And 3 points in Sorcery

I prefer to take the runes per level for a stronger late game if i don't take those i'll take the flat runes if i know i can end the game before 40 minutes.
Greater Mark of Magic Penetration for more damage output
Greater Seal of Armor for more tankiness
Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist for even more tankiness or take ability power glyphs
Greater Quintessence of Movement Speed cause nautilus is super slow already.

I like to take these spells:
Ghost helps nautilus more than flash will because he's really slow
Ignite helps finish enemies
Barrier i dont recommend it since nautilus already has a shield but if you really need it go ahead
Flash you can take it if your confident you won't need the speed buff from ghost

Staggering Blow this is great for ganks because its a free stun
Dredge Line this launches an anchor at the enmy and hooks them (it is a skillshot) and pulls them this has a long cooldown early game i max it last you can also shoot this at walls to pull yourself to walls and the cooldown is reduced by half the base cooldown.
Titan's Wrath this is nice if your going to jungle it's also good in lane i normally max this first if i'm going up against enemies with lots of poke or dot damage
Riptide this is nice to take at level 1 if you plan on ganking because its an AoE slow and each it slows even longer each time an enemy running away hits a charge of it i max this first against teams with a lot of mobility
Depth Charge i like to put points in this at levels 6/11/16 when i use this skill i usually try to aim it at the farthest enemy away because it knocks up all enemies in the patch and deals damage.

synergies +champions with lots of AoE damage (rammus) +champions that are known to buy will of ancients often + Fiddlesticksbecause of his consecration[ |
countered by -champions with lots of mobility if you can't land dredge line on or near them -champions that can kite hard -that have uber amounts of sustain(fiora) -champions that have long range if you can't land dredge line on or near them /columns |
If you noticed most of yhe items i buy deal AoE damage in some form with the exception of
Rod of Ages
As far as the situational items i really loke to finish with Blackfire Torch because it applies the bruning aleffect to all enemies taking magic damage from you which helps your AoE damage even more.

•While ganking consider aimin Dredge Line at nearby terrain and following up with Riptide
•riptide has a delayed activation you can use this while running away or when enemies ar incoming to serve as a deterrent.
•don't throw your Dredge Line out at terrain nearby enemies when your team is far away
•you can use Dredge Line to hook on to terrain and escape enemies
•remember that the cooldown on Dredge Line is reduced by half the base amount so if you can't hit an enemy with it hit the terrain around them. PRO tip i loke to hook onto a minion that is coming in behind them so that i can be right next to immediately get my stun off
•if your team is nearby be sure you initiate the fight a good combo i like to use is Titan's Wrath so i can go straight in and not take damage for a few seconds Dredge Line to initiate riptide to do large AoE damage and finish off with [[depth charge and i target the farthest enemy back for the most disruption.

Q: what roles can nautilus play
A: Nautilus can be an AP tank or an AP offtank or a pure tank
Q:what are the risks to playing nautilus
A:enemies with high mobility are a threat to him if you don't land dredge line on the enemy
Q:what stats should i focus on when playing Nautilus
A: it normally depends on what role your playing him as but generally you should build AP/health/armor/magic resist
