isn't there any lifesteal? i died very fast late game if i tried to jungle and stuff. Isn't madred better earlier with those changes?
Jungle is typically easy. Anything other than the buffs will go down with your ult plus an ooze. Buffs then pop your w and you should be fine. With giunsoos upping your attack speed many times I get the blue or the red buff to half or less before they even reach me. Stand a little further away so they have to walk a way in your ooze.
As for life steal, I find it less than spectacular. In a team fight you get focused you die 9 out of 10 times, life steal or not. Your just too squishy. As for helping you stay in the lane or regen your health you shouldn't have to worry too much. Remember your in the BACK. You should be able to kill an entire minion wave from behind or level with your mage creeps. This makes it hard for anyone to touch you.
As for Madred's, it is a nice item and helps quite a bit with your w, but its almost 4K gold. I have found that you get it about the same time in minutes into the game if you do it later than if you slowly build up to it. By doing malady and guinsoo first you can farm much more effectively and scale with the game instead of falling behind to jump only slightly ahead for a short time. In either case I usually end up with the Madreds at around the same time, so I can either have just Madreds, or Madreds Malady and Guinsoo... Take your pick
Also, what is your opinion on Nashor's Tooth as an item for kog?
Nashor's is something I haven't tried yet on kog honestly. It's obviously a good item for him. If you want to use it I would replace the Malady or the Rageblade with it. Or use it as your 6th item. I'll have a stronger opinion (and possibly add it to the guide) after I try it out a few times.
Thanks to all 3 of you for the +1's
Also soon to be added: Screen shots, possibly a video on using your ult and passive.
It's close to how i normally played kogg, but never played kog much.
Very strong guide, kog'maw is just one of those champs I cannot play. Along with Twisted Fate, but reading this will probably help out a bit.
