Hey Evanaves :D
What do you think about the new item
Duskblade seems to be a super synergizing item with Zed's ult, the movement speed will allow him to roam harder and generally it seems to be very strong on Zed. However, I don't really feel like it's gonna make him more OP than he used to be. My reasons are as follows:
1. It's a pretty damn long cooldown (120s), and it won't always be up meaning that while you have strong kill pressure than usual when this is up, but quite a bit less when it is down. (Like BORK's good kill pressure every once in a while VS Hydra's less effective but consistent kill pressure.)
2. If you rush this first item, you will have to give up your other core items, such as a Youmuu's and BORK or Hydra.
3. As the marking of Nightfall is not triggered (like titanic hydra), this means you won't be able to trade without going all-in. If you use it just for trading, it is a huge waste, but if you don't trade, you won't be able to kill them easily.
4. Late game, it may be less useful. This is because Zed is still able to kill a lot of people even without this item late game. Usually, you can R onto someone, W E AA Q AA and leave, and if they aren't dead by that burst of damage, Death Mark will surely kill them. If they have a Zhonya's or even worse, QSS, this item gets negated along with Death Mark :c. Double the waste if you don't kill them. Of course, it will be super useful against tanks and bruisers, but usually this late you should be focusing the squishies anyways.
5. Zed R damage nerf was also because of this item.
That's kinda it though. The pros obviously outweigh the cons by a huge amount, so I'll also list why Duskblade is so good with Zed :D
1. Zed's Death Mark synergy. I'm kinda salty that this item took away Zed's unique identity of being able to kill even after he escapes. However, if you R onto someone with this active, and you aren't super behind there is really almost no chances of them surviving (Unless they're LeBlanc with Zhonya's or Corki with package and QSS.)
2. Early/Mid game = Insane. This item gives you everything Zed needs early/mid game. It gives you lots of AD AND armor pen for those annoying Seeker's.
3. The movement speed provided by this item along with Swiftness boots will help a lot with roaming and getting fed. It also compensates for the loss of Youmuu's active early and boosts the MS from Youmuu's once you have it.
4. If you have enough damage to kill them without this popping, the CD will reset (thank god).
5. The name is cool.
Hope it helped you and whoever might read this later on :D
What do you think about the new item
I hate when I use my death mark combo on a champion with full health, usually something like R-W-Q-E-Ignite-AA-R or R-W-E-Q-Ignite-AA-R and it doesn't finish him. It's like I don't have enough power or something, often happens early game around level 6 during landing phase. Is Zed not strong enough at this point to kill a full health champ? Or am I doing the combo wrong or could my item choice be wrong?
Hey man, Zed deals a lot of damage to champions, but only if he has items. Zed can't 100-0 people as early as 6, unless you have some fat items. If you go even in lane, it's normal that you can't 100-0 people with that combo. In lane, try to poke them down first. Usually two usage of your shadow poke should be able to get them low enough (maybe 60-70 percent) in which case you can use your combo in order to kill your laner. If it is during an early skirmish, try to let your team deal a bit of damage before you engage completely. Zed doesn't have constant damage early, so in a 2v2 or even a 3v3, try to let your team do a bit more damage before going in. Zed is more like a Katarina or Master Yi, where you should look for cleaning up instead of engaging a fight. If you are fed though killing the enemy carry to trigger the fight may be worth the risk.
I'm killing everybody (except garen :/) with only my Q
If the enemy team has a lot of tanks you can always switch out mortal reminder for a lord dominik's regards. :D
