Okay so from how i see it:
You need to play the game with your mindset already made up. No matter what they think or say about your role with Evelynn.
In other words, its much easier to just roll with it the way you are used to, because truthfully, every player knows his limits in this game better than any friend or stranger does.
When i started doing experiments in S2 and S3 all of my friends thought i was a troll. That is...
Until i started kicking *** as Soraka top lane and jungle. Karma jungle, Morgana jungle. Etc etc.
Point is being that you have to decide what you will do and then just try and achieve it regardless of them teasing you around.
AD Evelynn is a monster when in proper hands and if your team does not mega feed the enemy ADC or Top lane.
Usually when i play with strangers, i noticed that the people that complain the most actually play the worst. Which is funny since they are following the regular in game guides and then raging on everyone else about playing non meta builds.
You can climb up only if your mind is focused on yourself to do well in game, regardless of the builds you are making. So let them talk, eventually they will understand their mistakes.
