The idea behind the thornmail is that if another ad carry is messing with you end game, they will be screwing themselves over if they jump you and hop in turtle stance for the shield, and then tiger stance them down.

Definitely a fun type of build to play with occasionally, but realistically, Tiger Udyr works better by building more AD. The Berserker's Greaves and Phantom Dancers don't really do you as much good as just building pure AD.

The ap carry will be unable to do anything when you stun them and burst them down with tiger stance, and as for being an expensive build, with early game kills and intense farming of minions both in the jungle and out, and a free dragon kill every couple of minutes gold should not be a problem. Udyr's phoenix stance to me should really only be used end game when you are going through a rotation of abilities. To me phoenix stance doesn't offer much to farming except burning through your mana. As for the criticism, it is my first guide and i was really just trying to put a guide out there to show an idea of my favorite champion and how i play him, i almost never stick to the same build for Udyr. So I apologize if it wasn't up to the standards of the website.

I don't feel your guide is easy to follow, or takes into account team play very well, your making a lot of assumptions about the enemy team being inferior. This is very expensive AD based build which i feel doesn't utilize udyr to his fullest. Also he has 4 abilities for a reason, should never write off phoenix stance.
