yes, blade did get a nerf but I still find it relevant for being a tankbuster and overall good item because 6% of current health on hit and 25 flat ad is very strong - for example, against a target with 3k health, an auto attack at this level of health would do an additional 205 damage which is more physical damage than any other item in the game has on it as a base. when they are at 2k health it will be 145 additional damage - and at around 1k it will be an additional 85 damage which is when it's damage will start to fall off and BT will be stronger. And, if the target you are fighting is not a tank and has less than 1k health - they can be easily finished off by your base damage. The thing that I find even better than just having good damage is the fact that Mystic shot can apply this passive from a safe distance, making it do a lot more damage on top of iceborn passive and muramana active.
There's nothing that can really replace botrk since nothing can match it's damage output on most targets + being coupled with 40% attacks speed, lifesteal, and a strong active - but if you want a lifesteal option that works for Ezreal and provides some utility or defensive stats then BT or Mercurial Scimitar are great options - both having the highest flat AD over all other items.
I mainly included Sterak's because it can save your life against champs that can jump into the backline to assassinate you (leblanc/kass), while also giving a lot of health and % base AD increase which will scale throughout any time in the game. Maw can be a great choice if you find yourself in a situation where you're constantly being poked by magic damage champions. I just considered maw to be an item focused towards melee champions more since, if it's being built as a final item, you're probably at the stage in the game where being caught out means certain death, regardless of having maw or not which can't protect you from CC. And, only melee champions who are in the frontline doing sustained damage will get more use out of the shield and bonus attack speed and lifesteal it gives after lifeline triggers.
But it doesn't mean it's not capable of having an impact in your game and does have good stats that are worth considering - I just felt like it wouldn't be a go to item for mid to late game and would rather just have scimitar, banshee's or guardian angel if i wanted something to save my life/protect me from hard CC.
