id just like to add for the record that pretty much every time ive tried to get to the backlines with fiora unless they left a pretty decent opening, ive gotten smushed because they all turned around and wrecked me together. even in the middle of hectic teamfights. so it might serve you better to do hit and run, and stay on the edge of the fights rather than getting in the middle.

since youre updating the guide for the rework, id like to put my 2 cents in. gauntlet is actually pretty good on her now because the armor and cdr are both beneficial for dueling, the active boosts her damage, and the slow is useful for positioning. you have to build her somewhat bruiserish because in teamfights you have to get up in peoples faces, but she doesnt have a great way to 100-0 people unless youre pretty skilled at maneuvering for the weak points when using her ult. plus she has no good way to dive the backlines unless you get lucky. you have to either deal with the frontline using your percent health damage for hit and run, or maneuver around the fight to get at the backlines and then ult a carry, but since she cant 100-0 effectively, that tends to result in the whole enemy team converging on you. her main tool for effective trades is her w, and its great in solo lane top, but once you get into teamfights you really have to be very aware of whats going on to choose the right time to use it. beyond that it has a huge cd meaning its not a very reliable way to mitigate damage. if you can its best to activate e before you use lunge because the lunge procs on-hit effects meaning youl proc the slow at the same time that you get the speed boost from passive, makeing it relatively easier to proc the next weak point without waiting for lunge cd. if you can in a teamfight, it can be good to just ult the nearest person be they tank or squish because if you can proc the heal that helps everyone. the other thing to remember is that the ult will boost your damage tremendously because the first hit after that is a guranteed proc, and the 2nd can be procced with extreme ease. those 2 hits are the most important because after that it gets a lot harder to maneuver for more procs of weak spot. I tend to max lunge first because it makes for very strong hit and run tactics, and reduces the cd on the lunge significantly. the 2nd skill should be e because it increases the utility of the slow, and reduces the cd significantly. if youre jungling fiora it might be beneficial to put a point or 2 into e even before the lunge is maxed so you can get extra slow for ganks. plus the lunge doesnt do much for your jungle clears. I tend to build bloodthirster for sustain/shield, cleaver for hp/armorshred/damage/cdr, and gauntlet as stated above. I know this has been long and rambling but I hope its helpful with your guide :)

Very informational guide. I've been playing Fiora a lot top and mid and I agree with just about everything in here. Some of the lane matchups were very helpful to look at as well. Well done.

at first i was a bit annoyed that suggested to max q first but then i saw the anti-poke maxing path

The Q or W debate is rather funny. Q acts as a decent nuke and is a great way to get around Panth's shield and do damage to him. E+Q+Q+AA (or variant) is great cause it will pop his shield and take a decent amount of damage and allow you to motor away.

For a bit of fun play fiora as support in normal mode and max Q first. Use E+Q+AA+W+Q (Q onto minion) and watch the enemy adc recoil in horror. I have had to use it in ranked on occasion due to teams in Champ select not paying attention to chat and pick order and it has worked (depends on match-up though and team). Definitely not viable but it is fun because both the enemy support and adc focus you and forget about your adc :D.

Thanks for the comment and Vote.
