Last time I didn't play much Galio. But I never saw a player who plays super IMBA OP by him like they play Ryze (hope he will die in hell) etc. He is a little boring (Galio) for me so I won't update my build because I just don't play him. Maybe if Riot will BUFF him : )

I would definatly change Rylai\s scepter with Rod of ages ..but that's just my thinking..although with Rylai's u can also slow ppls with the Gust aswell.so that would be a 2nd slow

You need a gaurdian angel in your build. My observation about galio is when he ultimates using your build, the enemy team survives it and then kills you before you can even get your gust and resolute smite off. Last game i played with your build, i got kills, but i had as many kills as i did deaths due to using galio's ultimate. Rolling nuke using a tank ultimate blows if youre against a high dps team, bulwark wont save you.

I think he is perfectly able to be a tank along with ap. I use this build with Taric.

Philospher's Stone, Mercury Treads, Sunfire Cape, Rod of Ages, Abyssal Scepter, Rylai's Crystal Scepter.

I end up with 4k health, extra 45 armor from Sunfire, extra 82 magic res from boots and Abyssal, and PLENTYYY of AP. If game is long enough, I take out the Philospher's Stone and replace it with Void Staff.

I think for Galio, you should get a Sunfire Cape after the Mercury's for both farming and survivability with your ult. And after that you can go for rod of ages (same ap and more health and mana from Rylai's)). Then get everything else. Just a thought.

I just love it. While I am pretty sure you havent found the "best possible build EVAR", I feel you went the right way. Up to now, we've eat any team which relied on Galio for tank. Like totally. I feel he's more of a support/dps with weird tankish ult. By the way, Abyssal scepter is just godly. Keep up :)
