btw your guide is very outdated. you pd is still saying it has dodge. also your shield skill says 35% but it scales with lvl now. a few other ones but you should just read through it to find out

Garen in lategame is quite weak unfortunatly. You cant do anything tbh.
Just do your job and try to offtank a bitsy, focus on beeing support dps, you can also push towers quite nicely.

Well that active is good when you want to finish off your prey but you didnt manage to do it with QE combo. You pop your yoyo and smash with normal attacks and even than you can just spin again :)

Well i like to have that 100% chance to slow, but if you want you can try getting red for that matter and just go for sunfire.

You can always go with Yoyo instead for ranked.
I prefer +3 boots to always be able to stay on target while spinning. Sooo many champs with great MS or skills that boost it...

Getting stacks on Garen is not hard at all. Maybe not viable for ranked games, but like every other snowball item if you have skill it's a great addition.

Excellent guide! Only thing I suggest is always running Merc Treads on Garen. It's pretty useful in every situation. The bonus MR early game really helps take on the pressure.

Hey, Dude, great guide. But I changed it a little. After getting phage, I get a sunfire cape, which I think is a good item for Garen. Then I continue on to PD before IE. Anyways, this guide has helped me a lot. Thanks.

I've made a build with boots of swiftness, frozen mallet, phanton dancer, infinite edge, atma's impaller and the sixth slot I usually use to make a tanker item (if the other team is doing too much damage), like Thornmail, sunfire cape, banshee, force of nature etc... If the other team is not doing THAT much damage, I make a bloodthrisher.

With the tanker build (sixth slot tanky) I get around 270 atk, 85% crit and 3200HP and I can usually survive all the teamfight, or I'm the last one to die (If the team is not cooperating :P)

Wow.. Ok, so the enemy team had some feeders (or at least they became feeders), but 32/7/10 in my first game with Garen in a long time, just after reading your guide.. Epic :)
Very nice guide in both build and how to play Garen, best i've tried so far.

sword of the occult is for funzies. it isn't a viable item if you want to win.
