The two to minions is the first level of your offense tree on the right side... I always found that the +5 attack damage you can get when ignite is on cooldown (1st level offense left side) to be more beneficial.

The double hit I was talking about was game mechanics, hitting q allows garen to attack immediately so you can auto-attack them then hit q and it will hit twice in a row (as opposed to just hitting q in which case you have to wait for the cooldown before you can auto-attack). By the time your teammate lands their ability you'll generally have your second auto-attack hit which means you've put in roughly 200 damage to start the fight.

Ohh i've never actually had that issue. I mean i realize now the auto attack double hit thing now, and i do that actually, never noticed. As for the masteries, I took them that way cause I've found that they work. I've never tried it any other way, thats all. Now that you mention it, i may try switching it up. I mean the extra damage gives you what little farm you get, but i dunno. I may try your idea.

I don't like to play 21-9-0 Garen... that said, pretty standard build, have you considered/tried running mercs instead of swiftness? There are very few opponents you won't be able to catch with run2 and q and the extra mr is nice.

One other change I'd offer is to switch your first point of w to level 4... taking w at 2 you give up far too much damage for a relatively small defense boost at level 2.

An addition to your bit on killing the face-checker, you should mention opening with a double-hit rather than just q. I know it took me the longest time to realize how much damage I was missing out on by just hitting with q.

My question to you: Do you have a reason for taking +2 to minions over putting the point into ignite?

I did mention the double hit, I said takes two of you, and ignite and both abilities and maybe even auto attacks. That said, its a difficult thing to time, as you and your lane mate MUST be co-ordinated on one choice of target. If they both come into the bush, this will still work, but you both must have agreed on who you are killing first. If you target two different people, this cannot work. I find if you take boots of Swiftness, instead of merc treads, what this does is allow you to run down anyone. I like this cause, even with enhanced movement 2 and decisive, i found there were some champs, (Master Yi, Kennen, etc, etc) who could escape. That gives you the little edge you need. I don't understand your last question, about+2 to minions over the point in ignite thing Also, I found 21/9/0 was a little tighter then I liked, so I went with the 20/10/0, finishing durability. But thanks for the feedback, and by the sounds of it you gave it a shot, and for that I say, thanks.

You should add some coding, pictures, video and so to make it more professional, you know I cant even read that guide cause my head would blown off of that walls of text. item build and masteries looks good, but I think that without flash or ghost you got really little escape mechanisms (You know even Garen have to run out of enemies sometimes and you will just die without flash ghost or some integrated escape mechanism that Garen don not have). Can not give the + cause of that walls of text it just is just irritating. Fix it and you got my thumb up.

Nvr mind, figured it out xD i feel dumb for needing that long to figure out how to do that. my bad

My problem is i don't know how......first time using this thing. so I'm not sure how to do that trick yet. As to the escape mechanism.....Decisive Strike. It makes you move faster. To get rid of a slow effect, Judgement. It removes all slows. O.O these are things I would hope anyone playing Garen would already know about two of his best abilities.
