Introduction
This build consists on high hp and damage output at the same time. even though it might seem a bit awkward it works once you get the hang of it.
Laning
while laning in mid just be careful for ganks and sudden bursts from your laning opponent. IT IS CRUCIAL THAT YOU FARM WITH KATARINA.If you want to hit BB but are too far away, dont fret you can just shunpo on a low hp enemy minion closer to the enemy champion and when in range just throw your dagger of doom and just run back to your safe place.While not laning solo in top/bottom the same as in mid just be a bit more careful.while soloing top/bottom if your ally is jungling and you are in middle of a tower push remember to always ask for help when needed thats what junglers are for.
Jungling
When think you can solo golem go get it fast , same goes for lizard.

The reason chose to only have flat AP runes was: Kata needs lots of ap early game!
Even though people might say that i should place magic pene for marks i've noticed you don't need them in the long run. Why aren't there any AP per lvl runes? I'ts because even though they give more AP in the end it is katarinas early - mid game that bring out her effecticness.

Clairvoyance = nah..
Clarity = lol....
Cleanse = is ok
Exhaust = no need for this
Flash = you have shunpo man...
Fortify = hmm=?
Ghost = Great for kata the extra speed is important
Heal = a staple spell not great but not bad either
Ignite = 10+ AP and true damage is good
Rally = is really great for ka....jk
Revive = dunno never tried this^^
Smite = if jungling is possible for kata maybe
Teleport = same as heal
Clarity = lol....

So basically the ultimate CD refresher.
(Active): Katarina throws a dagger that bounces from enemy to enemy, dealing magic damage. Each subsequent hit deals 10% less damage.
CD: 9 / 8.5 / 8 / 7.5 / 7 seconds
Max. Bounces: 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5
Magic Damage: 60 / 95 / 130 / 165 / 200 (+0.8 per bonus AD AND +0.35 per AP)
You will just lol if you get FB by accident with this bad boy
Killer Instincts (Passive): Katarina's abilities with a damage ratio and auto-attacks deal additional damage.
(Active): Katarina's next ability gain a bonus effect:
Bouncing Blade: For every target it hits, will deal full damage and apply 50% healing reduction for 10 seconds. OR
Shunpo: Katarina will take reduced damage from enemy attacks for 3 seconds.
Cooldown: 20 / 18 / 16 / 14 / 12 seconds
Damage Increase: 8 / 12 / 16 / 20 / 24
Damage Reduction: 15 / 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 %
The reason you won't die
Shunpo (Active): Katarina moves to her target's location. If the target is an enemy, she deals magic damage.
Cooldown: 10 / 9 / 8 / 7 / 6 seconds
Magic Damage: 80 / 120 / 160 / 200 / 240 (+0.75 per Ability Power
your combo starter
Death Lotus (Active): Katarina goes into a state of extreme focus, throwing many daggers at the 3 closest enemy champions in 2.6 seconds.
Daggers Thrown: 30 (Max per Champion: 10)
Magic Damage: 50 / 65 / 80 (+0.50 per bonus Attack Damage AND +0.25 per Ability Power) per dagger
Cooldown: 60 / 55 / 50 seconds
OP. OP. OP. OP ....unless you get stunned ,taunted Etc.

Your item sequence should be Boots -> 3 hp potions. after that Sorcerers shoes and buy some wards and hp pots IF needed. Here come's the funny part get 2 giants belts -> make 1 rylai (first) then frozen mallet (second) you should have enough HP to survive the ganks when you jungling/farming Etc. after that come's the beautiful hextech gunblade (the reason i chose this was beacause of it's spell vamp and life steal and a whooping active which will be a nice finisher, if your skills are on CD and you need a kill to get your shunpo back to stay alive).
Then is rabadon's turn ....... what can I say just has to be in your inventory. last but not least is you'r MR item abyssal scepter, in late game this item is very important bcuz u need to lower the MR of the tanks and carries.

Top/Bot solo lane
if you are soloing top or bot there are several ways of killing i like to use
1. just harras them and when theyre low enough just bouncing blade and shunpo them and that should it.
2. ask the jungling partner to come out of the brush behind them shunpo on him/her and thus your ult will have a higher damage ratio since she/he will be behind them giving them 2 options 1 go through my ult 2 turn around and give us more DPs time.
3. and my favorite just shunpo on 'em and press R..
Ganks
Since you get boots as your first gear you will have the advantage of mobility and will have a easier ganking phase. just run to mid and go in after you ping and kill the opponent. this will give mid A. more gold B. more exp C. a chance to push the turret.

Just remember to use BB when farming and don't forget use Killer Insctinct's before diving with Shunpo. Don't be shy with your ult just keep using it even in 1 v 1 beacause your passive will give it a reduced 15 seconds for the kill equalling in 35 secs of it becoming refreshed. In the case when your skills are in CD remember to always go on the offensive since you are a steady DPs unlike pure AP katas who just burst ***es off by pressing E and , R.
