Introduction
In my experience, when played properly, Graves can be a very strong champ and maybe even a little OP in certain situations. Throughout this guide, I'll show you the build I've been using with a fair amount of success.
IT IS STRONGLY SUGGESTED THAT IF YOU DECIDE TO USE THIS, PLAY A COUPLE NORMAL GAMES FIRST TO GET USED TO GRAVES' GAMEPLAY.
As far a s runes are concerned my choices are pretty standard.
Greater Mark of Desolation - Standard AD rune really, I've tried using attack damage and some others, but this really performs the best in my experience.
Greater Seal of Resilience - While Graves' passive do give some decent armor and magic resist, these will help to even out times where you might not be able to hit an enemy to deal damage and continue stacking.
Greater Glyph of Focus - With care, your Buckshot and Quickdraw will greatly benefit from these, as they are more often than not what will determine whether or not that pesky enemy mid can get away at the last possible second.

I prefer starting with Doran's Blade as the initial life steal helps to stay in lane longer, and staying in lane longer means more CS which in turn means more gold.
Your first buy should be a BF sword, as this will ramp up Graves' damage and he'll really start to shine, if at all possible get this item on your first trip back, providing you haven't died.
Your second purchase should be Berzerker's Greaves and a Zeal, if you can, get these in the same trip, because the increased attack speed will make a huge difference on the cooldown of your Quickdraw.
Next finish off your Infinity Edge and Phantom Dancer and start on Madred's Bloodrazor.
These are your core Items which leaves you 2 places left.
I prefer to get Thornmail as it has a pretty decent amount of armor, and then a Banshee's Veil, not particularly for the Magic Resist but for the spell shield. There have been a few times when I didn't pick up Banshee's that I could've benefited greatly just from said shield.

I've chosen to take Exhaust and Ignite as my summoner's.
Exhaust is a fairly standard AD spell and taking the point to "master" it only helps in your ability to run down an enemy and secure a kill, or even to hold a foolish dive next to the turret just long enough for that killing shot to get off.
Ignite is really great early game if your Buckshot can't quite finish the enemy, simply Ignite them at low health and enjoy the gold coming your way as they burn.
