Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Malcolm Graves was born in the back of a Bilgewater tavern and left there with a bottle of spiked milk. He survived a childhood in the pirate-run slums using every dirty trick in the book. Intent on building a new life for himself, he stowed away on the first ship to the mainland he could sneak aboard. However, the grim realities of the world forced him to eke out an unsavory living in the underground of various city-states, jumping the border whenever things got too hot. At a particularly high-stakes game of cards, he found himself seated opposite Twisted Fate. They both flipped four aces on the final hand. It was the first time either conman had met his equal. The two formed an alliance, swindling marks at the tables and scrapping back-to-back in the alleys afterward. Together, they ran the streets – stacking chips, decks, and charges.
Unfortunately Graves made the mistake of hustling a hefty sum from Dr. Aregor Priggs, a high-ranking Zaunite official and businessman. When Priggs discovered how he'd been played, he became obsessed with revenge. He learned about Twisted Fate's all-consuming desire to control magic and he promptly offered him a trade: serve Graves up in exchange for enrollment in a procedure which would grant his wish. Twisted Fate took the deal – both he and Graves knew the stakes of their arrangement, but the offer was too good. Once acquired, Priggs had Graves taken to a special location built to hold men whose crimes – or more precisely their punishments – were meant to stay off the books. Graves endured years of captivity at the hands of Zaun's most unscrupulous wardens before he managed to escape. One of his fellow detainees introduced him to an eccentric gunsmith who modified a shotgun exactly to his specifications. After he paid a visit to Priggs, Graves joined the League of Legends with two targets in his sights: Twisted Fate and payback.

Hi there! this is my vert first guide on, well anything, :p but i though id share how I play Graves with you guys.
feel free to ask into anything, I'll answer the best I can, due to I might not be the best to LoL, and still have alot to learn myself too.
Graves: as I play him, I see him most viable for early-mid game, late game, he is too easy to counter as he don't have that long range, compared to other ad ranged carry. so I play him hard and aggresive at start, so keep in mind that you should get a good support with ya.
The runes I have chosen above is typically what I would use for nearly any ranged AD carry.
so not much to say about thoes, but feel free to ask anything.
Marks: I have chosen armor pen runes, as they help my early game alot, witch also should be where u get the most out of him.
Seals: Flat armor, I think these are the best for early game laneing phase.
Glyphs: flat MP/5, I have chosen this over MP/5 pr lvl, due to I think help me the most at easrly game.
Quints: Armor pen again, for the early laneing phase.
The masteries I have chosen for this champion, is to get most dmg output at start. so this is what I came up with, 21/0/9. feel free to come with any suggestions to improve, but please state why. :)
Dorans Blade: for starters, give good health bonus, and 10 dmg, witch is good for that kind of money. the 3% LS is nearly nothing, so that wont do much.
Bersker greaves cuz of the atk speed, cuz he needs that imo.
BT: for 3. item, gives him that ekstra LS, and also have great + on the dmg.
Phanton Dancer: for the 4'th item, I really love this item, as when I have it, I can just see how my movement speed increases to a point where I can see it in game, also it give alot of crit, witch it just mmmh...
Also for that late game, Banshees Veil is just so OP, but you can choose to get a QS if u think that fit your gamepaly more.
IF: for 5'th item, as it have that passive 50% moar crit? OH YES!! I can haz crit machine, ^^,
Last time, sell Dorans (Obviously?) and get that armor shreding Black Clever.
I have chosen to max out Buckshot asap, as it really hurts early game, late game it does not do that much dmg, as it does not stack that much with AD, but still helps with team fights ect ect.
I chose to max out Quickdraw as secound as it's just so OP to have 80% atk dmg for them fast fights.
Smoke screen most people just dodge anyway, so thats why its not that nessesary to max out that fast.
Collateral Damage, ulti, not much to say, you people should know what it does by now.
I allway choose Flash / Exhaust for AD ranged carry, as I see it fit my game play most.
Also have Quickdraw for that quick getaway. :)
So all in all, play him hard, and aggresive, that way you'll get alot out of him imo.
Thanks for reading, and hope you can atleast use some of what i have shared here. :)
