i use these runes and masteries because at early game if a fight starts i usally get 1 or 2 crits and each of them deals 160 dmg at lvl 1 or even more
Pros
- Great damage
- Can block people out of a teamfight with smokescreen
- Ultimate is great in teamfight because you can damage their hole team if in right position
Cons
- Dosent have a stun
- Q does more damage when enemies are close, which puts him in a danger zone if you want to do that damage
- No escape skills
i start of with a dorans blade simply because you need that hp and dmg, that 3% life steal is good too because you can stay in lane for longer. you can choose to buy another one if you see that you are being out damaged. the rest of the items is just items you HAVE to have on graves.
If your enemies are pretty squishy like if you have Brand, Caitlyn, Teemo, Twitch and Lux then that would be a very squishy team you could get a Black Clever or another Bloodthirster because you can then 1 bit pretty much anyone in their team if you dont die right away offcurse

The best summoner spells to use on graves is Ignite and flash
Ignite is good early on when someone has low hp pop ignite on them and you got a kill
Flash is good because graves dosent have a stun he does have quickdraw but its distance isent good enough. the best thing to to if your runing away is pop your smookscreen just right infront of you and flash ahead of the smokescreen

I go pure crit chance on marks, seals and gylphs so i can get those early game crits this gives me about 15 crit chance and 14 crit dmg
This runes setup allows me to melt trough enemies in early game. have another friend of you play a ad champ go same lane and hide in the bush let enemies enter and see how fast you can melt trough that 1 champ if you both focus the same champion.
I tried this with lee sin and it took me 3 second to kill olaf. Because i did a crit 200 followed up by my Q and this should take alot of hp of the enemies since olaf dosent have more than ca. 500 hp with boots. Now that equals first blood and that is 400 gold and makes me be able to teleport and buy another dorans blade

If a teamfight is going to start dont be the one takeing first hit you dont want them to focus you.
try to stay in the fog of war until it starts if the enemies can't see you they can plan to focus you. when it starts you want to focus the highest source of dmg they have or the support.
you want to pop your q as fast as possible followed up by smokescreen blocking ranged champions out of the war making them have to move and buys time for you team. when you see any of there champs getting a bit low pop your ultimate and quickdash when ever you are out of range

Malcolm Graves was born in the back of a Bilgewater tavern and left there with a bottle of spiked milk. He survived a childhood in the pirate-run slums using every dirty trick in the book. Intent on building a new life for himself, he stowed away on the first ship to the mainland he could sneak aboard. However, the grim realities of the world forced him to eke out an unsavory living in the underground of various city-states, jumping the border whenever things got too hot. At a particularly high-stakes game of cards, he found himself seated opposite Twisted Fate. They both flipped four aces on the final hand. It was the first time either conman had met his equal. The two formed an alliance, swindling marks at the tables and scrapping back-to-back in the alleys afterward. Together, they ran the streets – stacking chips, decks, and rap sheets.
Unfortunately Graves made the mistake of hustling a hefty sum from Dr. Aregor Priggs, a high-ranking Zaunite official and businessman. When Priggs discovered how he’d been played, he became obsessed with revenge. He learned about Twisted Fate’s all-consuming desire to control magic and he promptly offered him a trade: serve Graves up in exchange for enrollment in a procedure which would grant his wish. Twisted Fate took the deal – both he and Graves knew the stakes of their arrangement, but the offer was too good. Once acquired, Priggs had Graves taken to a special location built to hold men whose crimes – or more precisely their punishments – were meant to stay off the books. Graves endured years of captivity at the hands of Zaun’s most unscrupulous wardens before he managed to escape. One of his fellow detainees introduced him to an eccentric gunsmith who modified a shotgun exactly to his specifications. He named it “Destiny.” After he paid a visit to Priggs, Graves joined the League of Legends with two targets in his sights: Twisted Fate and payback.
“They got a saying in the locker: ain’t got nothin’ but time to plan."

you are a carry you dont jungle you stay in lane and forget about trying to jungle. get blue buff if your team dosent really have any casters that use alot of mana. dont tank dragon or baron. red buff is a good thing to get on graves because you have range and its better you having it than a melee because you can slow enemies down and not being in a danger zone
