This is my build guide to veigar, the super mage. This champ is one of the best nukers of the game. Often leaving opponents screaming WHAT?!?!? as they are instantly killed by this short squeaker. This little suprise is my favorite ap carry and I hope this guide helps you destroy everyone who crosses your path.

Make sure to take that last hit every chance possible with your baleful strike as that limitless ap boost just helps so much and can make a good mid and late game impact to your teamfights and kills! Do this early, mid, and late game!

Work with your teammates to get kills, though Veigar is a fantastic last-hitter, he tends to steal some kills occasionally, try to avoid that! He works great in securing kills and has major damage to single targets in team fights and can often kill any non-tank hero as long as he is not targeted early in the battle. During these fights, try to stay out of the damage and make yourself useful! After initiation, stun with your event horizon and single-target your enemy champions with your combos to get a good start in the fight. Be sure to position yourself correctly, Veigar should never be the first to die. He's important to the team because of his great damage and because of this he is often attempted to be killed first. Avoid all incoming spells, and when you see a carry going after you, stun and run.

All of the late game items you see in this guide are all based on offence for a reason. Veigar just has to survive and avoid being targeted, once hes a target, late game he's usually dead unless saved by a teammate or a lucky stun. So instead, I build up his offensive abilities as much as possible. Every item in this guide increases either ability power or maGic penetration because you want to deal as much damage as possible before you die. In this way, Veigar is great in team fights if positioned correctly, and with his items, his nukes will utterly leave your opponents in shock after the game tells them that they have been slain! Be sure to use your deathfire grasp! Late game its very's effective against tanks! Just to help the team.

I always max out baleful strike out as soon as possible to make farming with it and getting your ap as easy as possible as quickly as possible. Its also great for poking! I also take event horizon for the stun with your nukes, and an escape mechanism. It's meant to be casted right after using your stun so it can hit and do it's damage.
