Champion Build Guide

How to climb out of Iron, Bronze, Silver, Gold, <Plat 3

By Brakugon
This guide isn't going to cover what champions to take or what builds to use because that's not how you climb. Pick a champion you know and use it if they get banned make sure to have a second pick. Just make sure your pick is at least following meta.

Lane Control:
This is a math game, I want to keep each section very simple. Farming is important, if you're playing a punisher make sure to freeze your lane just outside of your tower range. Iron - Silver, unless you're queued with your jungler, you're probably not going to ever get a gank top or bot, jungler's tend to run it mid lane and put the mid lane behind.
Tops - Force Freeze the enemy minions outside of your tower and abuse your punishing damage. Learn XP range and abuse the enemy from getting xp. If you miss a couple of CS it's ok because you're denying more gold and xp from the enemy laner.

Mid - You guys are sorta boned. My advice is push your lane and let it crash into the enemy tower then go and roam bot if its free or top. Don't go into the enemy jungle because chances are your jungler won't go with you and just become toxic if you die. If your jungler is stubborn and zooms over and sits in a warded bush, stop csing and slow push. That greedy guy is trying to soak xp from your lane.

Jungler - Stop being greedy. You're literally a roaming support, you can't solo carry in this season especially in your low elo. Unless you're 'smurfing' you probably won't solo carry. Help your team and farm your jungle. Rotate. Seriously rotate, your job isn't to go get kills, its to get objectives ie; Rift + Dragon + Baron. Krugs and Gromp are huge for xp, make sure to include them in your rotation, don't like them just sit.

Bot/adc - I'm sorry, you're squishy and very weak early. Enemy wants you dead and its a fiesta down there. Do your best to freeze outside your tower, make sure the first bush closest to your tower is warded and pray your support doesn't stand on top of you.

Support - Don't stand on top of your adc. Melee supports should be behind your melee minions, ranged supports should be forward side of adc. Poke the enemy adc but don't try and force a fight. Act on your adc, if they feel comfortable fighting then you fight. I hate to see supports force a fight and cause issues in the botlane, if your adc just wants to afk farm, then go help mid or invade the enemy jungler with your jungler. Don't leave your adc ever, if you're tilted just take a deep breath.

Objective Control/Warding/Tilt

This is the simplest warding guide for laners, memorize these warding locations and you'll get ganked a lot less. The key is not to see the enemy jungler walking into your lane, its to see the enemy jungler before they walk into your lane. Don't be afraid to use a pink ward in these locations either, its 75 gold, it's better than losing a wave or a level. This is extremely important especially if your team just got toxic and you had to /mute all because of spam pings. Communication is key but in low elo most of the communication is negativity.

---

This next part is BM, but if you so desire to be toxic, don't point out the flaws in your team that's how you tilt people and lose a match. Point out flaws in the enemy, reinforce a complaint made by the enemy that is in a tilt war with his team. IMO, just /mute all at the start and unmute pings, if the pings get toxic just mute them all and play to the best of your ability.

---

Tilt - Stop tilting. You're low elo, your team is going to make the exact same mistakes you are your teams making. Just because you lost most of your towers doesn't mean you're going to lose, the enemy team will probably get cocky and throw allowing you to push an objective. Another thing, please stop blaming your team.

---

To top laners and mid laners, if your jungler just died in the river could you have moved off of lane and helped them to prevent their deaths? Did your lane kill your jungler? Why did your laner move but you didn't? If you really think that your teammate is throwing just look at the end game stats because stats don't lie. If your jungler went 15-14-20 and had most damage/damage taken/objective damage and you went 10-1-6 and had least damage/damage taken/objective damage then maybe you were the problem. KDA means nothing in low elo.

---

To bot lane - If your laners have backed and you're still full hp and your jungler is asking for help with dragon, go help him. ADC's you use basic attacks to do damage, stop this odd thought process "Sorry low mana" you don't need mana to take dragon and back.

---

Jungler- If you ping for help and nobody moves go back to your jungle or base n' buy. It's not worth creating self tilt because your laners are stubborn. If they don't want to help with dragon then they don't get it. If you can solo it then take it. If you're jungler you helped get a kill mid and dragon is open, go help kill the bot then take dragon. Less people to contest dragon the better. If you're behind don't be afraid to steal dragons, its your job.

Objective Control -
TOWERS- ALRIGHT if you're in the lead stop 5 manning it down mid. If you take mid inhib while top and bot are still up with 2-3 tower reinforcements you actually screwed yourself over and now let the enemy free farm. It takes the shortest amount of time to rotate over to mid so you take top or bottom. All mid is something you do in ARAM not in ranked or draft.

---

EPICS - First 2 dragons are not important, they are nice but not important. If your jungler missed the first two and capitalized on ganking or taking rift THATS OK. Baron, I hate to see teams do this, they wipe 2-3 of the enemy, the enemy base is open and instead of pushing to end they decide, *Ping Assist* lets do baron. No, you just took out half of their team, you probably already have the damage and the enemy won't be up for 30-50 seconds, just end the game stop delaying it. After Baron don't fight and just back. Regroup with the team decide to split 1-3-1 or 2-2-1 or 5-0-0/0-0-5
Don't force mid unless its the only lane thats left the push.

---

Team Fights - Simple, don't engage unless you have an engage. Let the enemy make a mistake because they will. If you can't fight then split push. Everyone makes mistakes even smurfs and high elo players. It's easy to notice your teammates making mistakes because you always have vision on them, harder to notice the enemies mistakes but they do make them.

---

Hope this helps a bit, I'm tired. Goodnight.

Very Simple Ward guide for lane safety. Green dots are basic ward locations to prevent you from getting ganked. See the enemy early not late.
