Yeah... I always go for the "I may not win lane but I sure as hell won't lose it!" method of play when it comes to Shen. Trying to duel with him in a lane where nearly everyone else is better than you at dueling is a bit of a lost cause. Your best bet always seems to be the turn around ult bot; it keeps you in the game despite being down in cs.

So I used this guide just then. I went 0/5/0 in lane and by the 30 minute mark my team had around 5 kills, while the enemy team was rocking +30. But then we won. Thanks! :P

I think the build is nearly flawless but that's because i'm a bit of a math freak...so here is the main question i have with the build...

You seem to balance starting power with late game power. Which is good but...
With magic penetration...does this = more dmg then AP slots? since you have 0 ap the whole time it's hard to believe this is better then starting with AP. Does anyone have the math on this for magic pen?

Just one thing tho, since your runes are very uncommon already, you get better stats if you take 8 health seals + 1 armor seal and 1 health quint + 2 armor quints!

I personally run 2 quints of hybrid penetration and 1 quint of health. What would your opinion be on this? Do you believe it is an acceptable replacement to your current setup? (since I cannot currently afford your current setup).

Gotta upvote this. Earlier I suck, now I win every game (with shen). Shen is the only champ i have success with in ranked, lulz finally I can get out of bronze (hopefully)

Runes are getting there. I have all of them except the health quints. is it a simple matter of just getting used to shen's play style?

im working on farming. normally i have little issues getting around 150 cs by 20 minutes. but with shen it definitely is trickier. i spam my Q on my opponent literally every chance i get and my lane usually freezes closer to my tower until i get a gank.

one question; how do you pay attention to mid and bot WHILE farming effectively? i feel every time one of the other lanes is in trouble by the time i notice and pop my ult, theyre dead and my ult it wasted.

PS i noticed like 9/10 of the matchups you listed are considered bad for you lol. how do you dominate your lane constantly if 80-90% of the time the lane's not in your favor?

Tell me about your laning. Are you dominating your lane? getting kills? running the runes I say? If you're running the right runes and not winning most lanes, you're doing something wrong. I may also need to update matchups

I loved your ryze build. But the simple fact is that i can't always mid and carry as him. So seeing this build by you, i immediately snatched up shen last week. anyway ive been doing piss poor with him. maybe its because im in a lower ELO (actually dropped from silver 3 to 4 trying to play him) so maybe my team doesnt understand on how to capitalize on my taunt and ult.

the one time i did win with him is when i played him bot as support lol. is shen simply not viable till gold when everyone isn't a potato?

Because shen scales very poorly with AP. Your passive does magic as well...

MPEN feels way stronger to me than any ap.

Why do you prefer 6 mpen rather than 10 ap on glyphs? While they do barely the same dmg counting Q+Passive, ap helps with W and R
