Nice guide. I especially like the mid lane opponent session. No wonder I had problem counter Ahri.

its good that you one of the only karthus who have rylais in his build ,becasue it gives sustain and a slow, which works very nice with his wall and if your wall is on cd u still can slow by using your bombs.

The only build who is k,is build 4 ,but there i would add a rabadons instead of a void staff or abysalls.
I jsut dont like your tear of goodness builds, becasue a good played karthus dont need so much mana. A early roa would be much better ,becasue it would give you enough mana and a lot of hp. IN late game you will only need mana for teamfight and the mana with roa would be more than u need, becasue you anyway wont survive teamfiht that long.

Now to your last build. You will do maybe dmg with your ult ,but a good team jsut would catch u and u would be instead death ,becasue u wouldn have any sustain.

The guide is fine.
It is new around here and I am sure that it will grow bigger and better :-)
But I play karthus a little different, if you want to, you can maybe add it to your guide.

For instance:
If my tank fails or if nobody else hase the balls to initiate I flash into enemy team pop E and use zhonyas. after zhonyas shield wears of, I use the full 7 seconds to to damage and use after that Revive to pop my Ulti from the base.
(Yes, I'm used to use Flash and revive)

Furthermore a little hint against ahri. If I have to fight against her, I buy boots and 3 manapots and harass her like hell until she gets her ulti. I outrange her with my Q (even while I stay behind minions to avoid her charm) and I can farm while I make her go back to the base. Of course, I can't kill her, but she is defenetely weaker in the mid-game. However, after level 6 I have to stop that and play it save... because she is still able to towerdive.

And a little hint against Veigar.
If I have to play against him, I buy boots and 2 manapots and a healthpod. I harass him the same way like ahri but id he gets his stun I stop it and play it save. after I baught the tear my next item is a quicksilver sash. That way I can free myself out of his cage and his ulti does not so much damage because I have just the AP out of my runes. when the cage is on CD I harass him again...
Try it out if you want.

btw. annies (flash, stun & tibbers) and akali in mid are a pain in the a** for me as well (if I play karthus)

Anyway, every karthus-player plays him a little different and that makes him a more unpredictable opponent in mid ;)

(PS: english is not my first language, so my grammar might be a little off.)

love playing on a team with a karthas and this guide emphasizes his high ability power, tanky ap builds, and an ult that really makes your day sad. i enjoyed reading this guide.

I feel like your Karthus guide is too focused about suiciding in the enemy team. While I agree that flashing in the enemy team and popping everything does do damage, it usually ends up in you dying and you can only use your passive time to do your ultimate, which also cuts down on your damage potential if you immediately die and ultimate. You could've ulted before and then did constant damage, or the other way around, instead of suicide bombing.

Your thing about the no spell vamp is good for your suicide bomb tactic, but I feel like that's not how you should play Karthus. If you only run in, suicide, and end up ksing kills, it doesn't really help your team at all. The spell vamp in other Karthus guides is because they do a role where they constantly DPS the enemy from afar and with Defile if they get too close, and then use their passive when they legitimately die. They need the spell vamp to stay alive in teamfights the longest.
