Yeah, I would expect it to become less effective the better the opponents Game Sense becomes. In ranked especially you should be communicating with your team what your trying to do, because your effectiveness depends on what your team accomplishes.

It happens too often when I'm not communicating properly, that someone on my team will see me being collapsed on, come try to help, and then die trying, even though I was completely fine.

I only play normals but I usually get low gold/high silver lobbies, and I know for a fact that there's a lot of things I could be doing better that I just don't bother to do which would make a big difference (Mostly communicating with my team).
